Abilities

Fires a toxic bullet from its back, dealing damage to a single Nikke. Deals additional damage if the attack hits.

Nothing serious to be worried about. If a shielder is used this ability is barely noticeable

Launches projectiles continuously, dealing damage to multiple Nikkes. When the hit stacks, this skill inflicts great sustained damage. Can be interrupted by destroying the Poison Chamber.

Usually not noticable if the poison chambers are being destroyed after respawning. However, if they are not being destroyed this ability will rain small poison projectiles until the poison chambers are destroyed. Triggering this ability means there is not enough DPS and pretty much always leads to a wipe.

Ultra smashes the ground, dealing powerful damage to all Nikkes.

A powerful attack that is able to oneshot Nikke. If Nikkes get hit directly, they are stunned for a few seconds after impact. Cover and Shields can fully negate the attack.

Spews toxic shells from its mouth, dealing damage to all Nikkes. After hitting target(s), this skill inflicts great sustained damage.

Used shortly after Shock Wave. Sprays toxic shells for a few seconds that will inflict a big DoT if a Nikke has been hit. Cover and Shields can fully negate the attack.

Collects and shoots toxic dust, dealing powerful damage to a single Nikke. Generates a defensive barrier when collecting toxic dust. While the barrier is up, only Iron Code Nikkes can deal damage.

An ability that summons the elemental Quick-Time-Event that can only be cleared by Iron Code Nikkes. This will be 3 circles positioned in a triangle either above the left or right poison chamber.

Ejects a powerful toxic substance from its entire body. Can only be stopped through Special Interruption. Should an attempt at Special Interruption fail, the toxic substance deals strong damage to all Nikkes.

Ability where Ultra vanishes from the field and a big Quick-Time-Event has to be cleared. 2 instances aligned in a + will appear. Only the middle circle is to be interrupted. Failing to do so inflicts heavy damage and frequently leads to a wipe.

General Tips

Pierce Nikke have a strong advantage over non-pierce Nikke on this boss due to Core-Body-Parts.

Both Poison Chambers always need to be destroyed in order to prevent an ability that will deal massive damage and not stop unless both chambers are destroyed.

When using a shielder, eating the shockwave ability using the shield and covering the following Toxic Shell ability is the best play to stay alive while dealing damage. If no Nikke with cover repair is used the player needs to make sure that the cover isn’t destroyed before the last Toxic Shell later in the fight finishes.

Ultras core frequently respawns so make sure to constantly destroy it for bonus damage.

Failing to clear either elemental or screenwide QTE will usually lead to a teamwipe. Therefore they always need to be cleared, don’t forget to bring at least 1 Iron code Nikke.

    • As you may see from the headers, Crown is mainly listed in the “best teams” because she is that strong. You want to refer to “Incomplete Box Teams” which list Tia/Naga and Liter/Blanc/Noir as core for other teams because you either need a shielder or cover repair for this boss. Keep in mind those are the recommended teams, with each player being able to use custom creations.

  1. I don’t understand why after stage 4 my team only deals 1 dmg per hit. Only burst does more dmg than 1.
I get that the HP increases exponentially, but does defense aswell?

    • The defense also scales per level, yes. What synchro are you at? Sounds like the DEF outscaled your ATK.
DEF on stages 1 to 3 is 21.000 but shoots up all the way to 86.000 on stage 4.

  2. Dunno if it is a bug, but the core does not respawn at all. It is gone for good after being destroyed the first time.
