Equipment
Table of Contents
there are many different categories for equipment in Nikke, which can be overwhelming to newer players. This guide will explain all the basics about how equipment works.
For information about Overload equipment, click here.
General Information
You can access you equipment from the Nikke page by selecting the unit you wish to equip.

Quick Equip automatically equips the equipment with the highest potential stats for your unit. This means that it does NOT equip the equipment that will grant the highest current stats if you have a higher level non-manufacturer equipment. When there are equipment with higher potential stats for your unit than what is currently equipped, a red dot will appear on the replaceable current equipment.
Unequip All simply removes all equipment from your unit.
Type
There are 4 different types of equipment in Nikke: Head, Torso, Arm, Leg. These are commonly referred to by the community as: Helm, Chest, Gloves, Boots.
Each type of equipment enhances different stats for your units. You units can equip one piece of equipment per “equip slot” for four pieces of equipment equipped at once in total.
Equip Slot | HP | ATK | DEF |
Head (Helm) | HP▲ | ATK▲▲▲ | |
Torso (Chest) | HP▲▲▲ | ATK▲
Arm (Gloves) | ATK▲▲ | DEF▲
Leg (Boots) | HP▲▲ | DEF▲▲ |
Class
Equipment is further divided by class: Attacker, Supporter, Defender. An Attacker class Nikke can ONLY equip Attacker equipment, and the same limitation applies to each class.
Equipment stats vary for each class. Attackers gain the most ATK but the least HP and DEF. Defenders gain the least ATK but the most HP and DEF. Supporters gain well-rounded stats. This pattern is also observable between the classes for all other sources of flat stat gain.
Class | HP | ATK | DEF |
Attacker | HP▲ | ATK▲▲▲ | DEF▲ |
Supporter | HP▲▲ | ATK▲▲ | DEF▲▲ |
Defender | HP▲▲▲ | ATK▲ | DEF▲▲▲ |
Tier and Manufacturer
There are 9 equipment Tiers, plus the Overload Tier for a total of 10 Tiers.
Starting from Tier 4, there are also manufacturer types. These are special equipment that grant 30% bonus equipment stats to specific manufacturer Nikke. For example, an Elysion type equipment has bonus stats when equipped on Rapi, but not when equipped on Mihara.
Each subsequent tier grants increasingly higher stats than the previous tiers. This means a level 0 equipment of the next tier grants higher stats than the max level equipment of the previous Tier. Below is the differences between Attacker Helms as an example.

Enhancement
Equipment at or above Tier 3 can be enhanced to higher levels for increased stats.

Enhancement requires credits and materials: Boost Modules, Ultra Boost Modules, or other equipment. These materials can be obtained daily from Interception.
The cost for enhancement is the same value for credits and EXP (boost modules). This cost increases for higher tiers and levels.
When using levelled equipment as fodder to enhance new equipment, only 10% of the used EXP (boost modules) is lost, which is a minor cost. However, all of the credits used to enhance that equipment is lost as well. As you will quickly run out of credits if you level too many pieces of equipment, I recommend only levelling lower tier equipment 1 or 2 levels at the most as needed. Tier 9 attacker helms may be enhanced to level 5, as they can provide a significant boost to your DPS and help clear SP Interception to obtain Tier 9 manufacturer equipment. Tier 9 manufacturer equipment must be enhanced to level 5 in order to unlock Overload equipment.
Enhancement Cost Per Level
Tier | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5 |

“I recommend only levelling lower tier equipment 1 or 2 levels at the most as needed.”
does that mean i should leave all equipment at lv 0 until i get lv 9 manufacturer ones?
