Laplace: Ultimate Hero Analysis – Should You Pull?

The HERO has arrived. Watch out, vile windows!

Overview

  • B3 Wind RL Missilis Attacker Unit with a focus on dealing great damage.
  • The first 2% unit to have HP -> ATK scaling that is not Limited. This gives her ridiculous potential with more bodies over time.
  • Has the highest base damage on a screenwipe Burst in the game currently; both of these factors give Laplace a surprising synergy that will be explained later.
  • Her base weapon is garbage; needs a lot of max ammo to be effective and minimize its usage.
    • Still provides her with good Burst gen in all content, at least until it transforms.
  • Great potential with how many synergies she has, but needs specific OLs to match; combined with copies giving her two kinds of scaling, she is very high-investment, as well as a long-term investment.
  • A surprising amount of synergy with a lot of notable Electric supports… it makes me wish she was an Electric unit, but then again, I guess another element needed the HP -> ATK scaling.

Should You Pull?

Similar to Ark Ranger Black much earlier, it really depends on your situation, though a lot goes against the possibility. Laplace: Ultimate Hero (LaplUH, LUH, LaPlus, Laplass [finally get to see that booty]) definitely has the DPS to be a great Wind unit for both bossing and normal stages. If you somehow lack any other viable Wind unit, it’s recommended to get at least one copy. However, there’s two factors that decide against pulling for Laplace for most people.

  • There is the incoming Persona collab coming soon. Even if you don’t like Persona as a series, one should still consider the potential of said incoming units. Since we don’t know their stats as of yet, it would be a risk to pull for a unit that is known to be added to the roster permanently shortly after her release by comparison.
  • There is no incoming solo raid for her to be a great DPS unit for. Usually, a high DPS unit is released alongside a solo raid for the event period where they’re expected to be a high damage carry for it.

Wind is also already full of so many high damage units; Scarlet: Black Shadow, Liberalio, Little Mermaid, Ark Ranger Black, so on. Having one or more of these means you don’t necessarily need to pull for Laplace: Ultimate Hero if Wind DPS is a concern. With how high investment she can be, it would be better to work on what you already have!

It’s truly a shame the circumstances don’t allow the average person to pull for more copies; the fact that copies are twice as valuable on her compared to other DPS units thanks to her HP -> ATK scaling means the best opportunity to get more bodies for such a unit is unfortunately not the best time to go for it. Best to obtain all those extra copies through surprise pulls and Missilis molds, and especially Wishlist, where she should remain until further notice.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

LaplUH is a B3 Wind RL Attacker from Missilis that specializes in single-target damage and has a high damaging screen-wipe for AoE potential. Unlike the majority of units, she gives herself HP -> ATK conversion, and unlike the other HP -> ATK DPS units that are defenders, who have higher base HP but lower base ATK, LaplUH is an Attacker. Her base HP is lower, resulting in less ATK gained from this passive compared to her contemporaries, even with its higher scaling.

LB0 Bond 1 LaplUH with 5/5/5/5 gear and max cube at Sync 400 has 2.97m base HP

MLB Max Bond Maiden: Ice Rose with 5/5/5/5 gear at Sync 400 has 3.85m base HP

Even if we take into account the body difference, and the very small amount gained from Bond, that is still a near 900k HP difference, approaching a 23% overall difference. The difference will only grow greater with HP increasing effects from allies, as they will be more effective on Defenders than on Attackers.

However, as an Attacker, Laplace has ~50% higher base ATK compared to a Defender. This means that regular ATK buffs are more effective on her compared to a Defender. While regular ATK buffs are uncommon nowadays, having been supplanted with caster ATK from Supporter allies for years now, ATK OLs are still a common source of regular ATK buff for units to make use of, which she can also make great use of.

As far as her weapon is concerned, it’s awful. Her base weapon, while its Burst gen is good, has the lowest base damage in the game, at 2.5% final ATK per shot, even lower than half a Machine Gun bullet. Its main purpose is to activate the laser mode that exists through skills, which is an amazing weapon, effectively being a semi-permanent, weaker version of her base form’s Burst, except it’s always available if the conditions are met.

Despite it being weaker than base Laplace’s Burst, LaplUH has incredible self-buffing available to her, on top of a powerful hitting Burst that allows her to catch up in DPS against both solo bosses and crowds alike. All of these factors come together to give LaplUH excellent PvE and PvP potential. The way her kit works gives her some of the best scaling in the game with investment.

Normal Attack Information

LaplUH’s weapon has two unique weapons, though the goal is to stay away from her base weapon, because its stats are absolutely dreadful, completely carried by how her skills work.

Deals 2.5% of final ATK as damage.
Charge Time: 1 sec.
Full Charge Damage: 250% of damage.
Deals 200% of damage when attacking core.
Ammo Capacity: 120
Reload Time: 2.5s
Similar to Liberalio and Neon: Vision Eye, she cannot fire a non-Full Charge shot.

Deals 9.45% of final ATK as damage.
Fire Rate: 24/s at 60 FPS
Ammo Capacity: 120 (refreshes when weapon in use changes)
Reload Time: N/A
Additional Effect: Pierce

That is not a typo, her base weapon has a base 2.5% final ATK as its base damage, giving it the lowest possible DPS potential in the game. On the other hand, when she transforms her weapon by meeting the skill requirements, it becomes a glorified Pierce SMG that doesn’t take advantage of charge damage. (despite the visual effects, it is an SMG, similar to base Laplace’s Burst)

While the base damage of her laser weapon is high, the overall DPS seems low compared to other units that rely primarily on their guns; that’s where the rest of her skills come in. She gives herself a ludicrous amount of ATK, and all the buffs she can benefit from give her great potential, and that is before we begin discussing the potential of her Burst.

Skill 1: Electric Power, Fully Full Charge!

Activates at the start of battle. Affects self.
ATK ▲ 4.05% of the skill user’s final max HP continuously.
Activates when performing a Full Charge attack. Affects self.
Warm Up: Charge Speed ▲ 10% continuously. Stacks up to 5 times.
Activates when Warm Up is at max stacks. Removes stacks and affects self.
Changes the weapon in use: Electric Power, Fully Full Charge.
Damage: 9.45% of final ATK
Max Ammunition Capacity: 120 (max ammunition effects refresh when the weapon in use changes)
Deactivation condition: When all rounds are fired
Additional Effect: Gains Pierce
Activates when Electric Power, Fully Full Charge ends. Affects self.
Removes 100% of ammo.

At all times, LaplUH converts 4.05% of her max HP as ATK. Even though Attackers have lower base HP compared to both Defenders and Supporters, it will provide her with an incredible amount of ATK at all times, as it’s a continuous buff. Since the buff from it is permanent, similar to an ATK OL, this will give her consistent damage even when it’s not her Burst phase.

These screenshots are taken at Solo Raid Museum Challenge with no other HP or ATK buffs on her when it was taken, making it a fair environment for others to base it on.

LaplUH has 2.97m HP at level 400. A single non-crit normal attack from her Rocket Launcher did 14,682 damage. We can derive her total ATK in solo raid settings when the screenshot was taken to be equal to 14,682/2.5 (250% charge damage from Full Charge shot) = 5872.8 x 40 (2.5% of final ATK as damage x 40 = 100% of final ATK) = 234,912 ATK.

Out of all that ATK, how much of it did she gain from her HP -> ATK conversion passive?

2,965,129 x 0.0405 = 120,087.7, which rounds up to 120,088 ATK. This means that right from the start, more than half of my LaplUH’s ATK is derived from her max HP, nearly equal to a +115% ATK buff when discounting the 9.85% ATK OL my LaplUH has. It only gets better with more HP sources, especially as this ATK bonus is permanent, unlike most other ATK buffs, and similar to ATK OLs.

However, this also means that while LaplUH can make use of ATK OLs from gear, it will be diluted by the sheer amount of ATK she gives herself from HP. While she can still work great with ATK OLs, thanks to her being an Attacker, she can also afford have less of them, or even none, especially in exchange for crit OLs, as the amount of HP she can give herself is boosted by her other skills and allies.

Any time LaplUH releases a Full Charge attack, which her base weapon forces her to, she gains 10% Charge Speed. After releasing 5 Full Charges, she transforms her weapon into its intended, main DPS form. At 1.0s base charge time, and 0.2s required to go from cover to firing, every 10% Charge Speed increase decreases the charge time by 0.1s. This results in a base ramp-up time of 0.2 + 1.0 + 0.9 + 0.8 + 0.7 + 0.6 = 4.2s.

Not only does she fire faster, but the Matis symbol next to her becomes fuller, showing how close she is to activating her laser weapon.

Upon achieving the 5th Full Charge Shot, by default, she will take cover for about a quarter of a second if left on auto. However, if you happen to be manualing her, you can cut this cover attempt time to just one frame as she changes her weapon. While not necessary, especially with great ammo OLs, if you need to pump out a bit more DPS out of LaplUH, it is recommended you hold the fire button on her at the start of combat and after she completes a reload.

However, there comes an issue. If you ever let go, she will take cover for a bit, a default that any weapon will do when going from manual to auto play, which, depending on how you let go, can completely get rid of the time saved by doing this.

Successfully manual’d the weapon, but then clicking off forces her to take cover before she resumes firing, taking away some of my work earlier.

To prevent this, switch away by selecting any other Nikke in the party once she has her big laser ready to fire, whether through the keys on keyboard, or tapping their portrait on mobile while holding down the fire button with mouse or another finger, respectively.

Notice she keeps firing after switching to Rouge with no stop in between, unlike earlier. This means it was successfully done.

While this becomes much less necessary as her max ammo size increases, as it saves less absolute time, if your LaplUH didn’t get completely lucky with her ammo OLs, like mine at the moment, it’s a good way to increase her DPS a bit, since it decreases the downtime of her actual DPS weapon existing. Each fraction of a second per magazine will add up.

Her weapon, despite its appearance, will change into a sort of SMG-style weapon that has the Pierce property. She will update her magazine size only once in this state: when she changes her weapon, and she will not be able to reload it, nor do any magazine refill effects help her; she is stuck with her magazine until it’s completely emptied.

Even though Privaty is in the party, who would normally halve the base ammo capacity of my LaplUH’s weapon when entering Full Burst, due to the properties of it updating only when the weapon changes, it does not result in -61 max ammo when entering Full Burst, as the laser began firing before the max ammo reduction effect occurred.
In spite of having a partial magazine, taking cover does not reload it like a normal weapon; she must expend all the weapon’s ammo, and due to her S2, it’s for the best it works like this, anyway.

As soon as she runs out of laser ammo, she will be able to reload again, and return to her base weapon that is very weak, and she has to start the cycle again.

Skill 2: Over Energy

Activates after performing 12 normal attacks while in the Electric Power, Fully Full Charge state. Affects self.
Over Energy ▲ 5% continuously, up to 100%.
Activates when Over Energy reaches 100%. Resets Over Energy and affects self.
Advances to the next Over Energy stage. Effects vary for each stage of Over Energy. Each subsequent effect triggers all effects before it:
Stage 1: Max HP ▲ 2% continuously.
Stage 2: Max HP ▲ 3% continuously.
Stage 3: Max HP ▲ 7% continuously.
Stage 4: Max HP ▲ 10.05% continuously.

Activates when entering Burst Stage 3. Affects self.
Attack Damage ▲ 52.14% for 10 sec.

Whenever she is using her laser weapon, every time she fires 12 attacks, she gains 5% charge of an Over Energy meter, up to 100%. This means that she will need to fire 240 normal attacks with her laser weapon in order to gain Over Energy stacks. At a default fire rate of 24/s with Min Fire Adjust. option enabled, this results in achieving 100% Over Energy every 10 seconds with her laser weapon.

Since this is effectively reliant on LaplUH’s max ammo in order to stack up, LaplUH needs ammo lines… badly. 240 ammo per stack is not gonna cut it with 120 base ammo; With a 2.5s base reload time, and a 4.2s ramp-up before she gains her Electric Power state, every reload will reduce her DPS for 6.7 seconds.

The more max ammo she has, the less absolute time she spends in her awful base weapon. With no max ammo lines, and base reload times, it can take LaplUH up to 90 seconds to fully stack up her S2 passive. Since 240 ammo is needed per stack, and she has base 120 ammo, every 100% max ammo reduces the absolute time it takes to fully stack by ~7 seconds per 100% ammo per reload, as that is a reload that no longer occurs.

At the ridiculously high +300% max ammo OLs (nearly all black lines), carrying around 480 max ammunition, LaplUH can keep firing for 20 seconds straight without stopping, This allows her to max out her S2 in just 2 reloads, taking just ~52 seconds by comparison.

Every stack of Over Energy gives her increasing max HP. Each effect stacks with the ones prior to it, so once she reaches stage 4, she will increase her max HP by 22.05%, which in turn, will increase the amount of ATK she gains from her max HP by a proportional amount. With a huge HP bar, this can get very out of hand.

When entering Burst Stage 3, she gives herself a great 52.14% Attack Damage buff. This stacks up nicely with how much ATK she gives herself from her HP -> ATK conversion, and it’s not overbearing enough to make Attack Damage or Pierce buff from Support units completely useless.

Burst: Regenerative Energy Armament: Mjolnir

Affects self.
ATK ▲ 63.36% for 10 sec.
Affects all enemies.
Deals 2953.84% of final ATK as Burst Skill Damage.
Activates when the skill user is at stage 1 or Higher Over Energy. Affects the enemy nearest to the crosshair.
Deals 934.76% of final ATK x Over Energy stacks as additional damage.

She gives herself a high 63.36% ATK buff. Since she is still an Attacker, even though she already has a lot of ATK buffs to begin with from her S1 and HP gains from S2 and other sources, it still gives her substantial ATK.

LaplUH deals a massive amount of damage to all enemies. It’s actually the highest base % final ATK in the game for a screenwipe hit. Additionally, for every stack of Over Energy she has, she will deal an additional hit based on the number of stacks x a high base number.

Against a solo boss, they’ll get hit for (934.76% x 4) + 2953.84% = 6692.88% at once, and then the incoming hits from her empowered weapon will shred a lot of enemies, thanks to the sheer amount of ATK she can get, especially when combined with Attack Damage buffs.

It should be noted that because the first hit happens immediately upon casting, it does NOT benefit from effects that activate when entering Full Burst. In spite of this, it remains a very powerful ability.

Even though Helm is in the second screenshot, with an ability that gives Attack Damage when entering Full Burst, LaplUH dealt identical damage with her Burst, not including the possible second hit, which can benefit from ‘entering Full Burst’ effects.

What supports to consider for Laplace: Ultimate Hero?

Even though LaplUH can work excellently with just about any support, as she gives herself Attack Damage, can Pierce, gives herself a ton of ATK from her S1 and Burst, it’s best to give her supports that have very low competition; using them for LaplUH is easy because the probability of another DPS unit being capable of using them properly is incredibly low to begin with. Thanks to her max HP -> ATK conversion, and how much ATK she gives herself permanently to begin with, she has a lot of options to choose from. Listed in no particular order:

Trina

One of the most unexpected options, but once you analyse just her Burst, it makes a ton of sense. The skills do nothing for LaplUH, but Burst gives her 20.14% max HP without healing, so more ATK from S1, 20.9% Attack Damage, which she needs more of, as she already gets so much ATK, and a giant +435.6% Attack Damage equivalent to her Burst Skill when she uses her Burst against a solo boss.

Using base sync lvl 400 Burst with Crown vs Trina Burst for LaplUH, and solely the Burst’s damage.

The difference is more than tripled on just the Burst alone. This gives LaplUH an incredible Burst option to use, especially in situations where her weapon DPS won’t exactly shine, such as a partless/coreless boss. However, this huge spike in damage is only for the portion of the Burst skill that ‘affects all enemies’ hitting a single target.

There will be a damage falloff afterwards compared to using other supports, but the high amount of damage the Burst can do vs bosses with Trina makes it difficult for the rest of LaplUH’s weapon damage to catch up. If low or a few ammo OL lines were rolled, then using Trina for LaplUH is almost recommended, as her weapon damage will be mediocre without a ton of ammo available.

When using Trina, a secondary B2 is ideal to bring out in order to ensure the secondary B3 can still deal proper damage. Otherwise, a funnel option going all-in on LaplUH’s damage is viable.

Rouge

As a unit that gives a lot of HP, up to +80% caster’s max HP when it’s all added up, as well as providing cooldown alongside other utility and a small amount of Attack Damage, it’s only natural to consider Rouge for LaplUH. The 80% caster’s max HP is even better than it sounds, because a Supporter has ~11% more base HP than an Attacker, assuming everything else is equal.

This means that Rouge can provide the equivalent of ~89% max HP to LaplUH at a minimum. If Rouge has more bodies/investment over LaplUH, the difference will be even higher. Even if Zwei or future supports in the B1 slot show up that provide more efficient DPS buffs and don’t have cooldown, using Rouge off-burst is still helpful, as she will still provide cooldown, +5% max HP, some Attack Damage and a Damage Taken Reduction buff, as long as LaplUH is adjacent to Rouge, which she should be.

Liter

Liter gets a mention; even though she does not provide max HP for LaplUH to make use of, she still provides the highest base ATK buff in the game when her passive is fully stacked, and gives a little bit of critical rate. Even if it has a short duration, her Burst can still make great use of it compared to other DPS units. Unlike nearly every DPS unit in the game, LaplUH can potentially make use of her max ammo buff.

Since LaplUH loves max ammo, and her burst can only update when the weapon changes, if Liter’s buff is active while LaplUH’s weapon isn’t in laser mode yet, it will receive the big 45% ammo buff until it has to reload, giving it far longer use than any other Attacker can make use of.

Zwei

Zwei gives a lot of stats LaplUH really likes. What is effectively +35% Pierce Damage for LaplUH’s gun is very nice, as it adds up nicely with the Attack Damage she gives herself, but the critical rate is where it’s at. +63% Critical Rate semi-permanently allows LaplUH to crit more often, giving her 78% base crit rate when added on top of the 15% critical rate everyone has by default.

Recommended to combine with Mint to add up their crit rate buffs to give LaplUH near 100% crit rate, on top Mint’s other buffs, for a funnel setup, though it is not necessary to use Mint to make Zwei (Treasure) work. Due to her being a B1 that lacks cooldown, it’s recommended to use a B1 that has cooldown to maintain proper Burst cycles; Dolla is unfortunately a very weak buffer for the current meta to consider.

Mint

Mint provides a high variety of buffs, all of which LaplUH really likes. Like with any strong weapon transformation, this wide variety of buffs is excellent because it’s all going to a weapon, and unlike other ways of dealing damage, weapons get to make the use of most buff types in the game.

LaplUH has an additional synergy with Mint most other Attacker units lack; her max ammo is buff is normally useless or downright detrimental for most other DPS units, but because LaplUH’s ammo capacity on her weapon transformation only updates once, she can immediately make use of it, as long as her weapon transforms when she already has the buff on her.

Recommended to use either with Zwei for a funnel comp where all the focus goes on LaplUH, or with Prika, her intended second half, to provide more general buffs to LaplUH and not completely shaft the secondary DPS unit.

Prika

Mint’s second half. Allows Mint to always provide her DPS buffs while Prika takes over with constantly healing the team and providing some buffs of her own. The Pierce Damage buffs + Attack Damage buffs both of them provide are excellent for LaplUH’s transformed weapon, as after her Burst goes through, it’s where all of her damage comes from.

Has to be used with Mint. Using the two of them also allows a secondary DPS to not lose out on a ton of damage. How I wish her S2 max HP buff was for all allies, with LaplUH existing…

Mast

That’s right, not Mast: Romantic Maid, but the original. Her max HP buff on Burst is one of the biggest in the game, at 86.2%, which again, because she is a Supporter, it results in a near doubling of LaplUH’s base max HP, assuming all things are equal. The DEF shred on S1, unlike other DEF shreds in the game, is based on Mast’s base DEF.

Since defense values are generally low compared to ATK, even for the enemies, with enough investment, Mast can shred the boss’ armor enough to the point where her allies are dealing the equivalent of true damage.

Also gives a huge amount of critical damage, which is a great way for LaplUH to scale; since she gives herself so much ATK in the first place with how much HP Mast gives, trying to scale with more ATK isn’t always the best way to go.

When combined with Zwei (Treasure), having the Burst critically hit can result in devastating damage, especially with the secondary hit stacking up. Plausible to use alongside Zwei if you got strangely lucky with critical OLs, but the investment required is insane. Only do so if you know what you’re doing.

Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic

The unit coming right after LaplUH. Will be explained better with her guide, but basically, she gives LaplUH a ton of stats she likes, and also scales with max HP -> ATK, just like LaplUH, allowing both of them to team up in Wind Weak raids and use the same tactics with the available B1 units.

Recommended to use alongside Rouge; the max HP increase from Rouge allows Maxwell to boost the amount of max HP she gives from her own skills, and by extension, how much max ATK Maxwell buffs by. Ensure that both LaplUH and Maxwell are the units adjacent to Rouge.

The best secondary unit to use if using Trina for LaplUH, as Maxwell still provides bonuses for LaplUH to make use of even when using Trina’s Burst over Maxwell’s.

Cinderella

Not exactly a synergy per se, buuuuut… Cinderella and LaplUH love similar supports. Even though it’s superceded by other units as of this time, Cinderella still has great neutral DPS vs bosses. Rouge and Maxwell will serve the two of them well. If using Trina for LaplUH, it’s even better, since Maxwell would want to buff for Cinderella optimally while LaplUH gains buffs from Trina in the team setup.

Bonus, this allows LaplUH to team up with her idol, to the annoyance of her idol.

Isabel Arcana

Not exactly a single unit, but a two for one that must work together. Their skills come together to give LaplUH Burst damage potential when combined alongside Trina, and incredible off-burst DPS for LaplUH. Since LaplUH has a big hit Burst, she can make use of the general ATK buff Arcana gives to all allies, and the 10% Damage Taken debuff Arcana provides to all allies.

Isabel’s massive +45% Damage Taken debuff improves the damage LaplUH can do when she’s not Bursting, especially if her laser mode is active.

Only recommended to use them IF you already have them built. Even when combined, they require investment to work properly. If you don’t, you really should. It’s somewhat expensive, but it’s some of the highest Electric DPS available at the moment.

Campaign

LaplUH can make an excellent campaign unit. However, she definitely needs max ammo before she can shine in the role, as without it, she’ll stack up her S2 too slowly, and she will spend a lot of her time dealing poor DPS, as without max ammo, she spends more time in her awful base Rocket Launcher weapon.

In spite of her base weapon being so awful, it gives her good Burst gen vs crowds, as the increasing Charge Speed allows it to generate Burst faster than other RL weapons, at least for the first five shots. When it transforms, its base burst gen drops dramatically, but its pierce ability and rapid hit can still allow it to generate burst if hitting it into a line of enemies.

Her Burst works wonders in Campaign; it’s one of the strongest screenwipes in the game with its base value. The second part of her burst can potentially hit a selected target even harder, depending on how many S2 stacks are obtained.

Arena

Unlike in either setting, she can work great out of the box. Due to arena matches not lasting very long, her inability to stack up S2 and use her laser weapon for long is fairly irrelevant outside of Blanc setups. What she has going for her is some good Burst gen during the first few seconds of a match, and a very powerful Burst to try to screenwipe enemies with. With a lot of great units in Arena being Iron, LaplUH can hit them especially hard to the point of KOing them outright if she happens to have Elemental Damage OLs.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Where she can perform excellently. Due to the fact that she has the potential to use Support units almost no other Wind DPS would even consider using, she has access to supports that have no chance of being taken, which allows her to participate in Wind-weak raids as part of team comps that have no chance of being considered for other powerful Wind DPS units.

Her high potential, especially with investment, also give her some of the highest DPS attainable for a non-pilgrim unit. Investment is the key word, though. She wants so much; She NEEDS ammo, or else, her overall DPS falters as it means less time firing off lasers. She already gets so much ATK, so it’s possible to switch off ATK OLs to get more efficient critical OLs. To compete with the best, she needs to go out of her way just a bit more, but it’s worthwhile.

Her potential is just so high, thanks to her good weapon, great abilities, HP -> ATK scaling making bodies, dolls and cubes twice as valuable on her by giving her two stats that bolster her DPS, and a wide range of supports that provide her a surprising amount of benefits.

Strengths

  • HP -> ATK scaling gives her greater potential over the majority of B3 Attacker units.
    • The first 2% unit that scales off of HP and will be permanently available from Wishlist and molds in the future in particular gives her more power than the other units that also scale off of HP for most players.
  • One of the strongest screenwipe Bursts in the game.
    • With all the other benefits granted, this gives Trina’s Burst unexpectedly high power with Laplace.
  • Good ability to deal with both mobs and single targets thanks to how her kit works.
  • Has decent Burst gen with her base weapon, as awful as it is.

Weaknesses

  • Desperately needs ammo; the less she uses her base weapon in terms of absolute time, the better.
  • Unlike other units that love ammo, instant-reload setup does not work on her because of how her laser weapon works.
  • Max HP -> ATK giving her permanent ATK make ATK OLs far less effective on her compared to other units.
  • Even with the highest possible ammo capacity, she still needs approximately 52 seconds to reach max power on S2 stacks, and by extension, Burst and her own max HP gain for ATK.
  • While her laser weapon is great, it could’ve been far better if it benefitted from RL stuff still, though this is just a nitpick.

Rating

Note that this is with proper OL investment, especially ammo OLs; unlike most other DPS units, she needs it badly because it cannot be compensated for with something like an instant-reload setup.

Recommended Cubes

resilience cube,wingman cube

As a unit that wants to maximize the amount of time spent on her laser weapon that unfortunately cannot use Bastion, Resilience is the way to go in the vast majority of cases. In situations where LaplUH is about to reach a 100% max ammo threshold, she can be given Wingman Cube to reach it. Reaching 100% saves 7 seconds of time needed to reach max S2 stacks, which can be more than the amount of time saved by Resilience.

Doll Priority

As a unit that scales off of both max HP and ATK, and has incredible potential, her Doll Priority is Very High. She makes use of all its stats well, aside from the Charge Damage Multiplier, as her base weapon deals paltry damage.

She appreciates the max HP increase, which combines well with the Damage Taken Reduction, which gives her more effective HP once her S2 gets some stacks.
