
Helm: Aquamarine Early Thoughts

Intro
Note: This was made before the release of Helm: Aquamarine, and a early Analysis will follow soon after proper testing.
Today we’ll be looking at Suisei From Hololive Helm: Aquamarine! Is her kit as see through as her outfit or is there more to look out for?

Skills

Skill 1: Admire Accompaniment
Activates after landing 30 normal attack(s). Affects the target(s).
Deals 131.34% of final ATK as additional damage.
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects al allies.

trigger repeatedly:
Once: Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 1.82 sec.
Twice: Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 2.2 sec.
Three times: Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 2.6 sec.
A pretty average damaging skill that basically has a CD of 2.5 seconds (AR’s fire at a rate of 12/s). However she also reduces CD of skills at the same time, similarly to Dolla, Liter, and Volume. This allows her to be the 5th usable 20s cooldown CDR unit (as of right now).
Skill 2: Aegis Cannon Suppression Fire
Affects I enemy unit(s) randomly.
Deals 105.58% of final ATK as damage
Affects the same target(s) when they belong to Electric Code.
Damage Taken ▲ 5.64%, stacks up to 5 time(s) and lasts for 5 sec.
A strong but very niche skill that is able to have a permanent ~28% dmg taken debuff on boss targets. This effect is unrealistic to maintain anywhere else.
A huge downside is that this acts as a mediocre damaging skill if fighting non Electric Code units.
Burst: Aegis Cannon Overload
Affects al enemies.
Deals 164.83% of final ATK as damage.
Affects the same target(s) when they belong to Electric Code.
Deals 164.83% of final ATK as additional damage.
The Blue CP clear specialty ✨, This skill does absolutely nothing for the team except for adding a little bit more damage or clearing Blue CP stages faster. One of the worse bursts in the game.
Campaign
As a AR unit that hogs the burst 2 slot, using her will most likely just detriment your overall team. She offers little to no utility except maybe adding a tiny amount of screen clear capability, which is definitely not worth slotting her in a team over.
Arena
As a AR unit, she offers little to no burst gen. No utility and not that much damage either. there are MUCH better units to consider before even thinking about slotting her in on a team.
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Due to her being the 5th CDR unit that is 20s, she might actually see some use in Boss content that requires multiple teams.
For Union raid, she can be a staple burst 2 against any of the bosses that are electric coded (iron weak) as the permanent damage taken debuff + CDR is rather powerful. Otherwise if not element weakness is not applicable, she’s basically a weaker Dolla.
Solo raid has the same logic, however since she’s the 5th CDR unit at 20s burst cool down, she’s pretty much “forced” to be used into teams just because of cooldown reduction and full burst mode is that powerful. Elemental Advantage or not.
For special Interception, she can be a usable unit against Grave digger as the damage taken debuff will help breaking QTE circles. Obviously she won’t be as strong as the bunny twins, but she seems like she can be a good substitute. There is Novel as a similar functioning unit but her burst lasts 5s and the GD fight prefers consistent damage over short bursts of damage when dealing with QTE circles.
Ending Thoughts
Despite looking like a very fine piece of work. Her kit is simply too niche, and too weak to be used outside her Niche. She looks like she can be easily replaced in the future if there will be another CDR unit in the burst 2 slot that gets released and is half decent. However when used inside her Niche, she can be a rather strong unit.
She’s definitely in a pretty rough state as of right now just because of her skill 2 element limitations. Otherwise she would’ve been a really solid unit that would’ve encouraged some team variety/ Flexibility.
Update 8/10 (Post-Launch): Nothing from my thoughts really changed except that she has low starting dmg% for skill 1 when level 1 and is not AoE. But since Cool down reduction is simply too strong, she’s still a usable unit if you don’t have any Cool down reduction units. She simply does not do enough damage to justify her being used outside of Electric coded bosses if the User has other CDR units. Will be putting analysis up soon.
Something that is worth mentioning is that she’s the only 20s unit whose burst targets ALL enemies on the screen, making her extremely strong against Mother whale.

Early Thoughts are always poor. On paper and in game are a world of difference Just stop and wait till she’s released and test her before putting out any sort of analysis.
I disagree a lot. I think it’s a great job. the previous analysis in the vast majority is already correct.
You can disagree all you want but better analysist have figured out how she’ll work out. This is not a great site for early info.

Her skill 2 does more damage over 40s than Harran’s. On top of that she gets more skill damage from her skill 1 and burst, has cdr to enable all current and future burst 1 units that don’t have any, and like the other poster said she will be meta for mother whale encounters. She is S tier at minimum imo.
S-S+ Tier for bosses when she’s used in the content she’s made for (Iron weak opponents). Otherwise, Low A tier at most generally, just because she has CDR are my thoughts.
Her S1 and S2 combined to her attacks give her more than 1.5 base dps against bosses and she’s an attacker. She doesn’t need iron weak opponents, she deals slightly less damage than Rupee but with CDR in her kit, which by any measure is outstanding. She’s not to Dolla level but close.
Suisei can only wish she had this figure.
Finally another decent Elysion unit. Going to be nice to have for the tower, if nothing else, will probably skill reset and bench Diesel if I pull her
