Intro
Simulation Overclock is here for two weeks! (Well, one at the time of writing this, oops). Introducing exponential difficulty the higher your “core ratio” is, with the maximum level being core ratio 50. Thankfully the game gives you all the rewards possible in this game mode at core ratio 25. Any higher and it would be for flexing purposes.

Rewards
The rewards are mostly skill books and the rewards are claimable once when reaching milestones. When completing Overclock, this counts as doing normal simulation room as well, and rewards will be given accordingly.
The max total rewards from this game mode is:
| Skill Manual I | Skill Manual II | Skill Manual III | Burst Manual I | Burst Manual II | Burst Manual III |
| x168 | x124 | x56 | x84 | x62 | x28 |
This around 4 Days~ worth of Sim room rewards if the Commander completes core ratio 25.
Core Ratio Settings / Levels
To start, there is a fixed core ratio that is unable to be de-selected. That is that Nikkes above level 400 will be set to level 400. this does NOT set lower level Nikkes to level 400.
When selecting ratios, it is very important to note which to select, as some lower ratios that give more level can be significantly easier to work around with than some lower level ones. Such as the basic ATK, DEF, and HP up of raptures being easy points, while the disabling of weapon types in burst slots can be crippling to team formation.
Do note that when attempting high core ratios, Raptures naturally get increased stats outside of core ratio options. However there is no present CP penalties in this game mode, so don’t worry about the red numbers too much.
Legacy Buffs Explained
Before starting attempts, or if you just need a little extra nudge to beat a milestone/record. one can farm buffs from repeatedly completing simulation room and saving a buff to carry on to the next run. these buffs do not reset and can be stacked, a player can have a full buff chain at the first room of simulation overclock. EPIC buffs can’t be selected as legacy buffs.

Buffs Explained
There are only a select amount of buffs that are useful in simulation room, which is just pretty much ATK buffs, Crit buffs, and maybe life steal. The section below showcases all buffs and events possible.
Buff Chain
You can collect up to 8 buffs as you progress through the simulation room. Buffs come in four chain types: ▵, □, ○, ◇ (the black shape in the middle doesn’t mean anything; just the outer shape matters). When you collect buffs of the same chain type, the buff level for ALL your buffs increase. There are 5 buff levels.
- Level 1: No buff chain
- Level 2: 3 buffs of the same chain type
- Level 3: two chains of 3 buffs of the same chain type
- Level 4: 6 buffs of the same chain type
- Level 5: 8 buffs of the same chain type
“Effective For” Buffs
Some may have noticed (Or totally missed) that at the top right, there is a tab called “effective for” buffs. This means that these buffs are ONLY EFFECTIVE FOR certain types of classes/weapon types/manufacturers. Any Nikkes outside the specifications will NOT gain buffs stated. Buffs without this prompt are universal and is applied to every Nikke. The player can know by either looking at the familiar symbol or clicking on it, in which it will bring a prompt akin to this

Buff Stacking
As stated previously, there’s buffs that are effective for certain Nikkes. One can “stack” the same buff by acquiring the same buff multiple times with different “Effective For”, therefore stacking it. This is extremely useful for certain buffs such as ATK up, well, that’s the only buff you want anyways.

Notable Buffs (Buffs Wanted)
- ATK up
- Crit Rate up
- Crit Damage up
- Hit rate up (ONLY IF main DPS is Assault rifle, Shotgun, SMG)
- Charge Speed up (If main DPS is Scarlet Black Shadow, Alice, Red Hood, or any RL/SR)
- Hidden Power/ Additional Damage on full charge (If main DPS is Scarlet Black Shadow, Alice, Red Hood, or any RL/SR)
- Life steal (Very situational, but can be useful in difficulties that don’t one shot)
- Chain Reload
- Over Magazine (EPIC buff, Increases Ammo Capacity, similar to overload Equipment)
- Quick Magazine (EPIC buff, Decreases Reload Time)
- One-Off Magnetic Field (EPIC buff, RNG, but can immensely improve survivability)
Strategies
Besides the tips mentioned above, the player can reach core ratio 16 without much issue. Simply selecting the ATK up, def UP and HP up of raptures, then disabling bond level bonuses (+2) and recycling room bonuses (+2). If the player still has trouble, the smartest ratio to lower down is the Rapture HP node.
The other easiest options (in my opinion) would be

The options that spawn Kamakazi or healing raptures are rather DANGEROUS, especially their +3 counterparts. Only receiving damage by wind type Nikkes, in which the only Nikke that is capable of doing good wind damage is Scarlet: Black Shadow. Mother whale can be rather dangerous if the player is off full-burst, as the circles are tanky. Motherwhale is fully capable of team wiping if given the chance to.
Ratio Core 25+
Note: I do not advice going above Ratio core 25 if the player does not have Scarlet: Black Shadow, as this overclock is HEAVILY advantageous for her, quite biased even.
Assuming the player has Scarlet: Black Shadow raised and with elemental damage rolls on their overload equipment, the easiest options besides the previously mentioned is Rush hour (+3 or +4) and Code Fix II (+4). An invested Scarlet should be able to wipe out the target rapture in under a burst
the next option would be enabling Aggressive Tactics (+5), this simply removes all normal stages from the current run.
If the player still wants to beat records, activate the node for the healing raptures (+2). Although they are rather harmless in normal stages, and can even be beneficial as they can be used for stalling waves. The real threat is them being in the final boss room. They are capable of healing the boss for massive amounts if left unchecked, greatly “reducing” DPS towards the boss.
This is where it gets exponentially harder as there will be a lot to keep track of just to live. Whale hunter (+3, Motherwhale) is fully capable of one-shotting the team at this level. the Player will always have to destroy the QTE’s or the second unsuccessful QTE break will result in a squad wipe unless using Tia/Naga Teams. Tia’s shield can fully negate the damage to cover when her shield is up, however the player still needs to cover or the team dies even with shield (Bug?).
Kamakazi Nodes (+2) is next, although not very dangerous by itself and can be enabled before the healer raptures or whale. This Node becomes absolutely dreadful if the player has Stopwatch: Burst I (+3) and Stopwatch: Burst II (+3) Enabled, as the player will most likely have no answer to them due to burst being on a 40s cooldown.
As mentioned, the nodes that disable CDR are pretty much the worst nodes you can activate and should be last, as they make everything exponentially harder. The only viable strat when these nodes are on is to clear all the waves prior to boss wave and stall a healer rapture, wait for your 40s cooldown to reset, then HOPE your Scarlet: Black Shadow is able to clear out the boss in one burst. If not, you’re out of luck, actually DPS-walled.
Team Comps
Hard to give team comps due to the nature of this mode, however your usual campaign team will honestly do. With the exception of +25 Ratio attempts, which will pretty much just feature Scarlet:Black Shadow, Tia, Naga, Liter, Alice/ Modernia. Alice if Scarlet:Black Shadow needs assistance to clear target rapture, otherwise use Modernia to clear out Raptures much easier outside burst.
Closing Thoughts
Just grab your rewards at ratio core 25 and yeet. Ratio core 40 is still possible for day 1 players assuming they play daily and have all the meta Nikkes, however anything above that is exponentially much more difficult and not worth the effort for the flex screenshot, however they are always welcome to try. Remember to at least have fun doing so!

what are people’s thoughts on this? I think it’s a great addition to the boring asf sim room we had before and the fact its only once per week doesnt make it super annoying
I agree, especially if it’s weekly. At least for this first time around, though, it’s 2 weeks long… These extra books are gonna come in clutch though
I have mixed feelings. I can do the 25 no problem, did it day one, and was REALLY excited…. then I realized it was 4-days-worth of books, and then I’d have to wait 2 weeks. I legit came back the next day hoping I could do it daily. As it is, it’s not a very good ratio.
Would much rather have just had the 2x rewards for the entire week like we did during the anniversary. If it IS weekly, then an extra 4 days’ worth per week isn’t bad. I just was really hoping that we’d get something that would END the bottleneck on skill materials, rather than just alleviate it slightly.
Oh god, this is for the half-of-the-paycheck player who lives with their parents. But the option to play is cool nonetheless!
as someone who did 19 whole draws for scarlett black shadow and didn’t get her and is at team level of 368 what would be the best team composition to go for ratio 30?
