Skill 1: Meditation

Activates when entering Burst Stage 1. Affects self when MP is 0.
MP recovers by 1. MP can be accumulated up to a maximum of 12. All accumulated MP is consumed when using Burst Skill.
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects self when MP is above 1.
MP replenishes by 1 MP can be accumulated up to a maximum of 12. All accumulated MP is consumed when using Burst Skill.
Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 6 time(s).Affects self.
Max HP ▲ 6.34% without restoring HP for 15 sec, stacks up to I0 time(s)

Maiden: Ice Rose has a simple gimmick, Maiden gains 2 MP for every full burst that she starts with 0 MP. If Maiden already has MP, stacks will increase by 1 per full burst. MP can stack up to 12 times. However, this isn’t recommended to do as her skill 2 wants Maiden to burst often. But, if you reallllyy wanted to, can produce some really big damage numbers at the end of boss fights if the Commander stacks MP until the end

This tech can be beneficial if there are powerful enough electric DPS’s in the team to compensate for her Auto Attack DPS loss in the future.

It takes Maiden around 82s~ + reload time to fully stack her HP buffs.

Skill 2: Blessings Upon You

Activates when MP is replenished. Affects all Electric Code allies except for self.
Damage as strong element ▲ 40.9% for I0 sec.
ATK ▲ 20.9% of caster’s ATK for I0 sec.
Activates when MP is used. Affects self.
Damage as strong element ▲ 31.68% for 10 sec
ATK ▲ 3.2% of caster’s final Max HP for I0 sec.
Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 1 time(s). Affects 1 enemy unit(s) nearest to the crosshair.
Deals 547.62% of final ATK as damage

Maiden: Ice Rose has a rare buff that only one other Nikke can give, and that is damage against strong element. This buff alone makes her very important for solo raid and electric weak content. Maiden almost has full uptime on her team element and attack buff, as it procs every full burst.

Although mostly relevant in late game (Mostly only available with late game gear) and if the Commander has a lot of Nikkes to play with

Using a character with a stronger element against a boss/campaign stage is usually recommended. Especially in solo raid and union raid battles. This is because this acts as a final multiplier to damage dealt.

(ATK x Buffs x Skill modifiers) x Element Damage = Final Damage

This allows S tier DPS’s to deal similar damage to SS or SSS tier DPS’s if said characters have high enough elemental damage (80%+) if the S tier DPS has elemental advantage and the higher tier characters don’t.

It isn’t recommended to overload lower-tier characters purely for this reason though.

Maiden’s self-attack and element buff has around 40% uptime with a cooldown reduction Nikke in the team, assuming the Commander uses her burst every time it is available. she provides herself with a big ATK buff based on final Max HP, a similar buff to what Cinderella has

Assume No recycling level bonuses/Affection bond point bonuses/No gear/etc

Defender HP at level 400 is:

2,483,759 HP x 0.032 = 74,512 ATK

Base defender ATK is = 60,212 ATK

Final ATK (without other buffs) = 134,724 ATK

For comparison, level 400 Attacker has = 90,318 ATK

Normal Attack Calculations

Although, similar to Cinderella, Maiden doesn’t have her charge speed. so we have to assume at auto-play, Maiden attacks at around 0.73x a second due to charge delays. Her damage would be

61.3 x 250% = 153% + 547% (Skill 2 Proc) x 0.73 (Shots per second) = 500% damage per second~

Which is not too far from Cinderella’s 602% Attack damage per second. However, Maiden’s ATK buff has a much lower uptime than Cinderella’s (80%~ vs 40%~), so expect Maiden’s Auto to deal around a slightly more than half of Cinderella’s Auto attacks due to higher HP buffs and HP conversion values

Burst: Diamond Dust

Affects l enemy unit(s) nearest to the crosshair.
Deals damage equal to 1372.8% of ATK that is calculated based on 10% of
the caster’s final Max HP. Attacks continuously based on the current MP

Her burst hits hard due to how the conversion works.

10% of her final HP gets converted and added to her ATK values, which is then multiplied by her skill modifier (1372%).

let’s say a Nikke has 2,400,000 HP and 60k ATK (around Nikke level 400 defender values)

Maiden Burst values

Maiden’s HP -> ATK has been accounted for from her skill 2 (External and internal HP buffs are not considered)

2,400,000 x 0.10 = 200,000 + 134,000 (ATK)
334,000 x 1372% x 2 (MP stacks) = 9,164,960 DMG

Cinderella Burst Values (Comparison)

Cinderella HP -> ATK has been accounted for in this formula (External and internal HP buffs are not considered)

127,000 (ATK) x 14000% of ATK (Full stack burst + post patch values) = 17,780,000 DMG

Total DPS

Maiden: Ice Rose being around half the DPS of Cinderella (Best Boss Killer) while being able to buff other electric Nikkes is nothing to scuff at. Maiden’s personal DPS also exceeds Summer Anis’s personal DPS in her best team, while out-buffing her as well for Cinderella teams against electric weak content.

Maiden: Ice Rose just beats Scarlet’s personal DPS in almost all scenarios, with the only scenario being Scarlet can core hit consistently, which is rare. This makes Maiden: Ice Rose a good DPS even outside of electric weak content or teams.

Element Neutral Testing, Scarlet being more raised than Maiden by a good margin, with a team that favors Scarlet.

Boss is iron-weak, which is why Crown is dealing more DPS than Scarlet.

Campaign

Surprisingly, Maiden can work in Campaign as a boss nuker as her burst is crosshair based, which is the best targeting a Nikke can have in regards to single target bursts.

Saving 4-6 MP stacks is plausible in campaign stages, which is pretty much a full Cinderella burst hitting one target.

Basically, whatever the Commander points at, will be the perished by Maiden’s burst. However, it is unlikely that Maiden would see use outside of electric weak content, and even then, there are no top-tier electric weak campaign Nikkes available to buff as of now (Scarlet, Ein being the closest at S)

Luckily Scarlet/Anis: Sparkling Summer and Ein do have decent AoE capabilities, which should be enough to get through most electric weak stages up to the boss. Which then Maiden can finish it off easily.

Elemental Cope

liter,crown,scarlet,Ein,Maiden: Ice Rose

Scarlet/Ein can be replaced with Anis: Sparkling Summer. Liter can be replaced with any burst I CDR. Remember to stall the run before heading to the final wave to stack up more MP to nuke the boss with.

Arena

One of Maiden’s weak points. At most, she takes out one Nikke with her burst. at worst, none

She is a defender, which means some synergy with Biscuit, but that’s not enough in a burst III slot where most of her competitors can wipe out whole teams instantly with their bursts.

Maiden: Ice Rose does have above average burst generation due to her skill 2 proc when compared to other non-clip RLs, which does make her a viable Nikke

Not expected to be very meta, further testing will be done.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Maiden: Ice Rose already has top spot in Electric weak raids, pairing very nicely with Cinderella teams. Maiden: Ice Rose is also a very nice addition to the electric roster as well as Ein and Cinderella no longer need to compete over Anis: Sparkling Summer, and now both of them can comfortably be in separate teams.

Best in Slot Anomaly Interception Team (Electric)

Cinderella,Rouge,Maiden: Ice Rose,Crown,Ein

Most likely the best team to tackle Glass Slippers as of now. Two heavy hitters with Maiden: Ice Rose buffing them. Use Ein to break the Slippers, and burst with Cinderella and Ein. Use the last burst for Maiden: Ice Rose, she should have around 11-12 MP.

Anis: Sparkling Summer is not listed here as there would be no projectile strong enough to break the slippers in one shot if replacing Ein. But theoretically, she would be the better option.

Best in Slot Solo Raid Team (Electric)

Cinderella,Rouge,Maiden: Ice Rose,Grave,Attacker

Grave can be replaced with Crown if the Commander doesn’t have a raised Ein team on standby: (Ein, Anis: Sparkling Summer, Crown, Exia with treasure, D:killer wife/B1 CDR)

If Grave is slotted, Flex slots can be Ludmilla: Winter Owner/Modernia/any MG, Red hood, or Maxwell. If Grave isn’t slotted, Red hood or Maxwell can be the flex slots. Red hood/Maxwell is important to the team because of their ability to generate burst via spamming sniper shots.

Grave has the unique ability to turn any MG into burst generation machines, which is why Grave teams have an increased amount of viable flex slots.

If healing is needed (rare for this team), slot in a off burst healer like Rapunzel or Alice: Wonderland Bunny

Element Neutral

It’s not recommended to use Maiden: Ice Rose on element-neutral content, but she is viable. She does more damage than Scarlet without any downsides, or similar/equal damage to Ludmilla: Winter Owner with all core hits. However, Most of her wanted buffs are null.

Just use Maiden: Ice Rose with your most preferred buffers and DPS’s.

Should you pull?

Yes for both veterans and newbies, Maiden: Ice Rose has a strong niche, and that is against Electric weak stages, she’s the best hybrid DPS/buffer, dethroning Anis: Sparkling Summer in electric weak content. However Anis: Sparkling Summer is still a more universal option to use in electric teams as her buffs don’t require the stage to be electric weak.

Even outside her Niche, she can deal more damage than Scarlet, Equal damage to Ludmilla: Winter Owner, and slightly less damage than Modernia.

Her only weak spot is arena, but that mode is competitive enough already. She is still viable as a somewhat decent burst generator.

Not pulling her would tank your rankings in electric-weak solo raid and to an extent Union raids for veterans. while newbies would be missing out on a limited/seasonal good DPS unit that isn’t a pilgrim, which are known to have low rates normally and on featured rate ups.

S2 > S1Maiden’s Skill one provides enough HP in which it is impactful enough to affect her DPS.

Her skill 2 a lot more utility and takes priority over skill 1. Maiden’s Skill 2 provides a rare Damage as strong element buff to other electric code allies. This alone makes very high value in solo raid and union raid content

Her burst equates to around 40%~ of her damage, Raise when possible.

  1. Thanks for fast review! She is really good and worth pull, but we already have a lot of good Electric DPS. As for Arena her burst useless, outside that, she can be good Electric team buffer, tanky enough for 6 place and mediocre burst generator

    • She actually do magic in Arena, her burst generation is surprisingly good and her own burst not so useless – it releases faster, and can kill main opponent DPS before she uses all burst effect. One time she kill two DPS in on shot (more test is needed, with her and Anis buffs all electric members becomes deadly).

      • this, but in pve. shes the first fast burst gen for elysion tower, that role used to be vesti but now maiden can spam shots for fast burst gen and is actually good.

      • She is actually first non Pilgrim DPS hero with RL who easily surpassed Laplace, even being a defender and even Laplace have a treasure. ShiftUp make new Maiden well, why they can’t made well Young Rapunzel

      • I’m pretty sure she can work well in arena, the point is: why you would use her when there is units that excel in arena?

  2. Would her skill 1 make Flora’s Skill 1 and 2 shine for an electric team? Or does that still not excuse her being a 40s B2?

    • Short of some future unit reducing Flora’s B2 to 20s, I wouldn’t put much thought in trying to fit her into any team. She’s cute, but infinitely better as waifu than actual use.

  3. One thing to consider is how Ade and Quiry play into the Cindy/Rouge/MIR trio. Both Ade and Quiry provide Max HP and near constant ATK boosts.

Also Maiden should be getting 3 MP every burst if she is alternating with Cindy to deal 13,747,440 per burst instead of ~9 mill per burst.

  4. Nice review, only thing I’d change is that I believe her S2 procs as long as she gets MP so you don’t have to use her burst before 12 stacks to buff teammates.

    • She’ll need to use the MP to buff herself but, at least in the comp I’m using (Cinderella, Rouge, Maiden, Crown, and S. Anis), I get more damage using her burst last in the encounter with as many MP stacks as possible.

  5. Does Flora’s skill 1 stack Maiden’s MP? That could actually make Flora useable as a backup B2 if it does and would make Maiden’s burst a little more versatile.
