Collection & Favorite Item + New Content Overview, Meta Changes

Woah, New End Game!?!

Intro

Usually I don’t write about content updates, but this time, there’s a lot to cover content wise and meta wise! Let’s start with the more interesting ones to cover.

Note: I also don’t know wtf is going for the most part, but I at least know the basics!

Collection Items (Intro)

Our latest addition of RNG grinding for end game! Collection items provide various buffs for Nikkes, depending on weapon type. However some effects are stronger than others. These dolls can be upgraded via Maintenance kits

There are also special collectibles that certain Nikkes can use. These Collectibles can be upgraded from the SR variants. These SSR collectibles HEAVILY buffs Nikke skills and even add multiple brand new skill effects that can push up their tier by 1 or 2. (another tier list update, help)

Skill effects

These collectibles have “skill effects” and are unique for each weapon class. I will be making short comments on what these mean. All SR collectible have an effect called Grounding pillar which:

Activates at the start of the battle.
Damage Taken ▼ 17%.
Cover’s Max HP▲ 30%

  • AR Collectible – Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 17.04%. DEF ▲37%.
    • Strong buff, but AR’s have a hard time hitting Cores unless it’s really exposed. expect around 9% total DPS increase if all shots hit, but very unrealistic for most bosses.
    • P.S. Snow white is a AR nikke, wink.
  • MG Collectible – Max Ammunition Capacity ▲ 9.5%. DEF ▲ 37%.
    • Small increased uptime, nothing too great. A bit more useful pre-overload gear
  • RL Collectible – Charge Damage Multiplier ▲ 9.47%. DEF ▲ 37%.
    • Very strong buff, pretty much a 10% DPS boost on skills that require charge, as it is MULTIPLICATIVE, not ADDITIVE to total charge damage.
  • SG Collectible – Normal Attack Damage Multiplier ▲ 9.46%. DEF ▲ 37%.
    • Again, another very strong buff. a MULTIPLICATIVE damage buff to normal attacks
  • SMG Collectible – Normal Attack Damage Multiplier ▲ 9.46%. DEF ▲ 37%.
    • SMG’s kinda suck DPS wise. but, it’s something
  • SR Collectible – Charge Damage Multiplier ▲ 9.47%. DEF ▲ 37%.
    • THE STRONG GET STRONGER. Yeah, this is going to Alice and Red hood.

Unique Skill effects

These skills effects are based on which character it is on. SSR collectibles are upgraded from max level SR dolls, and can be upgraded from doing a story quest. The initial upgrade does not require and special materials, however it will require 160 special items which is acquired from dispatch and solo raid to fully upgrade (50 first upgrade, 110 next upgrade). 3 can be acquired per day from dispatch.

All skill effects that are available are VERY strong, and can push them up a tier or two from their respective tiers.

Upgrade System for Collectibles

These dolls can be upgraded, and has its own unique and cute upgrade screen! These dolls can be upgraded via maintenance kits that are found from dispatch. Each doll has 15 phases, and for every 5 phases, the dolls skill levels up

Super success rates lets you skip 5 or less phases depending on reach skill threshold the doll is at. The thresholds are 1-4, 5-9, and 10-14. For example:

  • Super success procs at level 1, it will be upgraded to level 5
  • Super success procs at level 3, it will be upgraded to level 5
  • Super success procs at level 6, it will be upgraded to level 10
  • Super success procs at level 9, it will be upgraded to level 10

Current Uniques

Diesel,Exia,Frima,Laplace

More info can be find at the Nikke character page -> Collection Items -> Favorite item -> SSR of interest.

Expected Tier list changes

  • Diesel: B -> S-SS Tier Bossing (Sniper Teams) / A-S Tier Story if using Sniper Nikkes
    • Insane potential in Pierce teams now. SNOW WHITE META NO LONGER CANCER TO USE?
  • Exia: D -> A-S Tier Bossing
    • Insane self DPS improvement with buff capabilities for Electric Coded Allies, and damage taken debuffs. However takes B1 slot which is usually slotted for Cooldown reduction Nikkes (Unfortunate)
  • Frima: C tier -> ??
    • Unsure what true damage does specifically, if it totally ignores x% of def, expect a 20-25% team ATK boost? Needs testing
  • Laplace: B -> A-S Tier Bossing
    • Basically almost Doubles her DPS when left on auto. However manual spamming will be very much less effective on her, unoptimal even.

How to Acquire Collectibles + New Tactics Academy Lessons

Collectibles

Collectibles can be first acquired from dispatch when learning lesson 5-4 from the academy. the rarity of items found in these special dispatches will be improved at lessons 11-2, 11-3, 12-2, 13-2, and 13-3. (Be ready to be credit broke again). These dispatches differ from the normal dispatches and will have their own pool, maximum of 5 special dispatches at max academy level.

Probabilities can be found and the probability info page at the top right of dispatch.

Note: Be aware that:

  • putting these collectibles on a Nikke is PERMANENT, choose wisely.
  • R collectibles can be switched out to SR Collectibles once acquired, don’t worry about bricking permanently bricking a Nikke by putting a R rarity first.

Mileage Shop

The nikkes that have favourite items can also be bought for 200 mileage tickets (advanced) in the mileage shop. There also seems to be a new pool for them too in regards to shop rotation.

Interceptions EX related

There are increased Interception Rewards (Not extra boxes sadly? I think? Needs daily reset + sample size to confirm). It seems to only increase the normal loot and not the extra loot (no extra rocks, sad).

Lessons to increase the interception EX rewards at at 11-1, 13-1.

Increased Synchro slots

The lessons also give a good amount of extra synchro slots. These lessons are at 10-1, and 12-1

MOG 2.0

Haven’t look into this game mode yet, sorry! Looks cool though, will update MoG page ASAP! As they seem to share the core gameplay

CP changes

Overloaded gear stats now give extra CP. This means that it would be much easier to clear campaign and hard mode campaign because of less CP deficit!

It is unknown by how much the increases are, but will jolt it down when I get to updating their pages.

Closing Thoughts

Very needed late game changes, as most of it prior was just seeing who had the best overloaded gear rolls stats. Now there’s at least a bit more variety and resource planning needed to reach the top ranks of Solo raid/ Union raid content!

Also adds a bit more spice for casual players. Do let me know if I missed anything else, and I will promptly update!

  1. The 200 golden mileage does not give the collectible items.
It only gives you the unit (if you havent got any of the 4 unit yet) or spare body.
The wording seems ambiguous with “Favorite Item season 1 Nikke selector”, but on the item description it says “Choose an SSR Nikke..”

the collectibles are only obtainable from dispatch and solo raid reward as of now

    • No the unique collectors are still not obtainable. I checked the rewards in the dispatch and solo raid and they’re not there! How the hell are you supposed to get them?

      • Some needed to read the in-game description of the collectibles better. You get the favorite item by upgrading the SR collectible to 15, having the relationship with nikke reach 30 and finishing some quest (not sure about that one. first 2 are for sure true). That is why they now sell their millage. So that you can actually get to that 30.

  2. It’s safe to equip the R dolls I have to Nikkes with favorite items (Laplace, Diesel, etc) and start upgrading them, right? I assume it would be, but the “this will be permanent” message is making me nervous that I’m misunderstanding something and am going to screw something up, haha.

    • @Lucaan R dolls are upgradeable to SR dolls by applying SR dolls to them eventually. For units with favorite items it’s probably better to start with SR dolls. For meta units it’s also probably better to start with SR dolls, but the system as designed will give more R dolls that can eventually be combined into SR’s.

It’s only if a unit is more or less truly useless (eg crow) that you wouldn’t want to give them a doll. But those are also the units that they’re looking to buff via collectibles.

      • The return on combining R rarity dolls is very bad (15% chance of getting a random SR from 4 Rs). It is likely a bad idea to combine before every Nikke has at least an R.

  3. I think it is also important to note the availability of the Collectibles right now. Aside from the 3 free R Collectibles from unlocking the system they are only available from collecting Collectible Mileage from special dispatches.

Currently at max academy upgrade each “Special Dispatch” has a 20% chance of being Collectible Mileage. 3% chance of 20 mileage, 7% chance of 30 mileage, 7% chance of 40 mileage and 3% chance of 60 mileage. This averages to 36.5 C Mileage per Collectible Special Dispatch or 7.3 C Mileage per Special Dispatch. Since there are 4 Special Dispatches per day this averages to 29.2 C Mileage per day or just under 7 days for 200 C Mileage.

A 200 C Mileage gives you a 80% chance of a R Collectible and a 20% chance of an SR collectible. Converting 4 R Collectibles gives you a 15% chance of an SR Collectible or a 85% chance of SR/SSR maintenance kits.

At present, even the R rarity Collectibles are precious so you do not want to waste them by giving them to someone you know you will immediately put an SR on if you get the right weapon type.

  4. i have a question if i put a item in a nikke who have a favorite item, like laplace and then i got their favorite item, i can change it/upgrade it? and if every nikke will have a favorite item eventually, how that will work if its permanent?

    • There are only 2 types of Collectibles that can be given to Nikkes: R rarity Collectibles and SR rarity Collectibles. If you give a Nikke with a Favorite Item a SR rarity Collectible and then upgrade it to phase 15 you can upgrade the Collectible to Favorite Item.

  5. Im still confused here a bit. So the dolls could only be upgraded once you got it and put it on a nikke right? Plus does the game predetermines already the type of doll a nikke would get or you need a guide for which better dolls it is?

    • It’s based on weapon type I believe. So a rocket launcher Nikke can equip R or SR rocket launcher dolls (which are called Exercising Commander Dolls) while a Nikke with a sniper rifle can equip R or SR sniper rifle dolls (Napping Commander Dolls).

  6. SR doll from 0 to 15 on Red Hood, at synchro lvl 295, gave ~18k combat power. Pretty sizeable upgrade.

  7. Looks like super success rates are better for R toys. Since xp is kept, is it better to fully upgrade the R toy then switch to SR or am I missing something?

  8. Going to add some info here regarding SSR collectables. Process goes like this:

    1. You get R or SR collectable via the tokens or a box. Equip onto a compatible Nikke.
    2. Use standard maintenance kits to develop into maximum phase (seems to be 5 for R and 15 for SR).
    3. If you’re using R, you’re capped until you equip SR; the SR will inherit investments from the R, so don’t worry.
    4. Getting to phase 15 for SR takes a lot of kits, so you better pray to RNGesus for super-success.
    5. At SR phase 15, you cap UNLESS that Nikke has a unique collectable. If she does, you can upgrade to SSR by reaching max bond and completing a mission set. There seems to be cutscenes.
    6. After you get the SSR, you’ll be able to use the unique maintenance kits.

    Hope this helps.

  9. im still lost on this. How do we obtain the treasures to put on the 4 Nikkes?? Say i wanna put one on Lapalce. how do i get the movie/game item she wants?? all i see are cummander dolls

    • Equip the SR Commander Doll for RL characters, and upgrade it to Rank 15. You can then start a quest line to transform it into her BD Set. Of course, she has to have her Bond at Rank 30 (obtainable at LB2).

  10. “More info can be find at the Nikke character page -> Collection Items -> Favorite item -> SSR of interest. ”

    It’s the 2020’s, where’s the link?

  11. “True Damage” has a much clearer term in Japanese: 防御無視ダメージ, or “Ignore Defense” Damage.

  12. Any chance we can get detail breakdown for viper and her favorite weapon that was introduced during the summer event?

  13. I’m regretting every time I put SR collectible on a meta unit. Its FAR easier to upgrade to max potential when starting out with R quality. Upgrading R to 15 gives SR a big headstart. Starting with SR makes it very difficult to even get to level 5.

These collectibles become very common in the long run. The grind to level them up, however, is harsh.
