Overview
- Great defensive-orientated CDR unit, enabling multiple teams to run three Burst III DPS’s. This is great for Commanders that don’t have any of the support duos (Bunny Pair, Crown/Tia and Naga)
- Good buffer for HP-dependent Units (Only 2B as of now), Increases healing of healers that is based on Final Max HP
- Decent offensive buffs that are almost full uptime
- Drop kicks Noir out of most Blanc teams as Rouge is in the same squad as Blanc, which is the requirement of the 20s Cooldown of Blanc’s burst.
Newbie/Incomplete Box Section
Rouge is a very versatile CDR Nikke due to the healing that is in her kit. This enables multiple teams for newbies as she works as a pseudo-healer. While her healing is in the weaker side, weaker healing than Pepper, Rapunzel, Alice:Wonderland Bunny and the likes. Rouge should still be able to heal enough for most bosses under respectable CP deficits.
While Rouge’s Kit may look like she may heal a lot, most of her kit increases Max HP without healing. The skills that do heal are not based on final max HP like most other healers, this means that her healing potential can’t be increased in any way, outside of leveling up Rouge’s skills/gear.
Having another 777 Squad member on the roster makes it easier to benefit from Blanc’s burst simply because one more Nikke can proc her 20s CD passive (One of the most powerful bursts in the game).

Skills

Skill 1: Card Throw
Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 8 time(s). Affects all allies.
Max HP ▲ 5% of the caster’s Max HP without restoring HP lasts for 5 sec.
Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 7 sec.
Simple skill. Reduces CD every 8 full charge shots, these shots do not need to hit anything to proc this skill. There will be a visual indicator if the skill has proc’d. This skill only needs a Max ammunition line to ensure reliable CDR.

As noted by the skill description itself, her Max HP buff does not heal.
Skill 2: Coin Flip
Activates when assigned to the back row in battle. Affects self and 2 allies on both sides.
Sword Coin: Attack Damage ▲ 6.65% continuously
Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 30 time(s). Affects self and 2 allies on both sides
when in Sword Coin status.
Shield Coin: Damage Taken ▼ 15.2% continuously
Activates when using Burst skill for 5 time(s). Affects all allies when in Shield Coin status.
Double Sword Coin: Max HP ▲ 15.08% of caster’s Max HP continuously
A lengthy skill, but the most important thing to note of is her Sword Coin effect. Rouge needs to be placed at the backline, which are positions 2 and 4. Rouge will buff the Nikkes that are adjacent to her. Not putting her in either position (2 or 4) is simply DPS loss.

Buffing Priority
The Commander wants to put DPS’s adjacent to her as Rouge’s buffs give Damage reduction, Max HP buff (One time heal) and ATK Damage up.
Buff time table
Sword Coin activates approximately 45s~ within the battle when accounting for reloads at base ammo and the target(s) don’t go off-screen. This means that her healing from her burst will also only start within the 45s mark.
Double Sword Coin activates approximately 65s~ within the battle if every full burst rotation is 13s
Burst: Game Master
Affects all allies.
ATK ▲ 15.07% of caster’s ATK for I0 sec.
Activates when in Sword Coin status. Affects all allies.
Max HP ▲ 10.15% of caster’s Max HP without restoring HP, lasts for I0 sec.
Activates when in Shield Coin status. Affects all allies.
Max HP ▲ 20.1% of caster’s Max HP for 10 sec.
Activates when in Double Sword Coin status. Affects all allies.
Max HP ▲ 30.02% of caster’s Max HP without restoring HP. lasts for I0 sec
Rouge’s burst has a form of healing and some offensive utility. Rouge’s heals are based on Max HP increase, not final Max HP unlike most healers. This means her healing is fixed and won’t be increased by her own Max HP buffs, this makes her one of the weaker healers.
Her heals also only start at the 45s~ mark as the healing part of her burst procs when Rouge is in Shield Coin status effect. This can be troublesome against some bosses who can deal heavy burst damage at the start of battles (Blacksmith, Alteisein, etc)
There are not much DPS Nikkes as of now that can benefit from her Max HP buffs without restoring HP, with the only exception being 2B.
Healers can indirectly benefit from this buff as most healers heal from the final max HP, more Max HP equals more healing. Realistically this only applies to Blanc as they’re natural pairs and putting other healers with Rouge would be unnecessary (Over healing).
Campaign
Rouge is a great Campaign Nikke simply by being a cooldown reduction unit. Usually, any kind of healing is not recommended in Campaign mode as in late-game Campaign when playing in somewhat high deficits, dangerous raptures will one-shot your Nikkes more often than not. Which usually means that other offensive CDR Nikkes are preferred, such as Liter or D:Killer Wife (w/Pierce)
Rouge does however, fit perfectly with Blanc teams, which are very comfy and still powerful to use in Campaign due to the massive healing Blanc’s burst can give, made even stronger by Rouge’s Max HP buffs. This duo should be able to out-sustain the damage Bronchus Raptures (AoE Fart Raptures) dish out easily.
Not only that, Rouge effectively drop-kicks Noir out of Blanc teams (Sorry Noir fans) as Noir isn’t needed to lower Blanc’s CD anymore, Rouge can do that. This effectively opens up another DPS slot for Blanc teams without sacrificing much.
Recent Nikkes that have been coming out have massive self ATK damage buffs, this results in some Nikkes preferring Blanc’s Damage taken up debuff over stacking more ATK damage up buffs even if Blanc’s debuff only lasts one enemy rapture wave. The Commander just needs to time Blanc’s burst in heavy Rapture waves and the final Rapture wave to fully take advantage of her debuff.
Blanc Asuka Team
Blanc Generalist Team
Lame “Recommendation”, I know, but there isn’t many preferred teams Rouge has as she’s simply a CDR Nikke that pairs well with Blanc. Simply use your best Campaign DPS Nikkes and the team will be good to go
This may change with Phantom and Quency: Escape Queen as both Nikkes have massive self ATK damage up Buffs according to their Nikkepedia’s, which may pair well with Blanc teams.
Arena
Rouge is pretty bad in arena as she provides too little. CDR isn’t important in Arena and most of her skills that can be used for stall teams (Max HP) is time-gated and matches will be long over before she’s able to proc them. She also offers no burst generation.
Special Interception | Solo Raid | Union Raid
Special Interception
Rouge can be used as the solo healer in all special interceptions and should be able to sustain the team enough for the whole battle, except Blacksmith due to its high burst damage/DPS.
Anomaly
Rouge can make low sync level Commanders have comfortable runs when paired with Blanc due to very high team sustainability. Outside of Blanc teams, Rouge is a tad bit below Liter and D:Killer wife in terms of offensive buffs.
Solo Raid | Union Raid
Rouge is a much needed burst I Healer CDR, opening up more teams for Blanc or Mari Teams
Blanc Collab Team
A strong team in where all Nikkes synergize well with each other. Combining multiple buffs that multiply with each other. Sustainability is never going to be an issue with this team either. Most likely Rouge’s staple team for awhile.
Mari Snow White Team
A very strong Iron Element team, especially if there are multiple parts to pierce. Flex can be Miranda (Alternate between Rouge and Miranda burst if possible, Burst Miranda with Snow White), Yulha, Ludmilla: Winter Owner or Helm: Aquamarine in Iron weak content.
Strengths
- First CDR that can heal, this opens up multiple teams for those who don’t have complete Nikke collections
- Same squad as Blanc, allowing more DPS potential for Blanc teams, which has been a staple team for solo raid and normal content for a lengthy period of time
- Rouge has the most comfortable team that can be used in Boss battles or Campaign when paired with Blanc due to its insane healing potential.
- Offers multiple Max HP buffs, which may be useful for future Nikkes.
Weaknesses
- Rouge’s heals Proc after 45s~ in the battle, and her heals are in the weaker side, which may be an issue against some content when using her on teams that don’t have Blanc.
- Cooldown Reduction is based on skill level (A bit skill book heavy)
- Promoting Gambling in my Gacha game, Heinous.
Recommended Harmony Cubes

Resilience: If there are reload speed buffers in the team
Bastion: If Rouge has multiple lines of Max ammo, otherwise use highest level cube

Should you pull?
Rouge’s a great and rather Unique CDR Nikke, but she offers nothing too game-changing when compared to other burst I CDR Nikkes. Rouge won’t offer amazing DPS gains in your main team (if any at all) and is more of a Solo raid Nikke.
Casual Players can simply wish-list her, while Solo Raid Focused players can consider pulling her but it is recommended to save for future Nikkes like Quency (From Nikkepedia) or the Anniversary Nikke, which usually features a meta-breaking Nikke.

Her skill 2 doesn’t offer much as of now, but her ATK Damage up is still welcome Her burst is her main source of healing, level more if needed | High |
Doll Priority
Rouge is not a priority when picking out which dolls to get. She can be considered once all DPS’s have their own respective SR dolls.
Overload Gear Priority
Usually Supports don’t need overload, but since Rouge is a good Campaign Nikke when paired with Blanc, Overloading can be considered. She needs to have at least 1 Max ammo roll for her cooldown reduction anyways.

Thanks for the guide, and thanks for the tips, as always helping a lot of new and free-to-play players. <3
Rouge also replaces Volume outright in Tetra Tower. Not having to run Noir means you can finally run Summer Anis with Blanc. A team of Winter Ludmilla-Rouge-Alice-Blanc-Summer Anis is mucho comfy, and you can of course play around with Rouge’s positioning to choose who gets her buffs
Thanks for the nice guide
(However in Buff time table subject I think its a Shield Coin that will be activate in 45s)
Btw: Since her skill work great with 2B and Stellar Blade x Nier had already announced, maybe we can expect 2B rerun once Nikke have collab with Stellar Blade right? right?
I’m just gonna wishlist her with Quency and Cinderella coming up. She’s support anyways
So Quency alt is good?
My question exactly. I’ve looked at her kit, but tbh I have no idea lol
Yes, Quency Escape Queen will be a very good Solo Raid unit. You’ll get more Updates regarding her in the upcoming week!
She’s expected to be at least better than scarlet by a good margin via very high core damage modifers. But She needs 4x hit rate to always core hit
Thx for the review. Always waiting for your guide before touching anything. Keep up the good work man 😀
Love your name, always appreciate the nice comments
I have an AR SR doll, should I give it to Scarlet or Phantom when she comes out?
Scarlet. She has overall better value and is also used in PvP alot.
Which cube is better for Blanc and her team heals when running Rouge/Blanc together, Max HP ^ 7.27% from Vigor cube or HP potency ^ 12.12% from Healing cube???
Which cube is better to give Blanc i mean, i have Wingman on Rouge until i get some max ammo OL gear on her.
