Welcome to yet another PvP Focus review! Here, we hope to deliver PvP focused content and news for any new Nikkes released that may have proper PvP use. Keep in mind that a lot of common PvP terms/slang will be used in this guide, which can be clarified in this guide:
Let’s now dive right into Rapi’s new abilities!
TLDR
First and foremost, Rapi is not a PvP focused Nikke. While she can be used in very few teams effectively, she still is nowhere near what is considered meta in PvP in Nikke. Her burst gen is terrible since she is an MG unit and she also feeds into Jackal and Scarlet leading to an easy loss in Defense teams. She needs a bunch of support units that can fill the Burst gen bar for her, similar to how Cinderella is used. However, her skill-set is more restrictive compared to Cinderella, and hence the teams she can work effectively in also much lower.
Let’s get the elephant out of the room first: Rapi’s B1 is utterly useless. Do not use her as a B1 unit. Her only effectiveness comes from the fact that her B3 Burst can deal massive amounts of damage, and can target 5 units! She shoots 30 shots per second so she will be getting one explosive shot every 2 seconds, with 5 total shots. Her damage output during full burst is similar to that of Emilia. While she has numerous disadvantages such as no burst gen, high feed, and possibly not having enough DPS to kill the enemy team anyways, an advantage she has over Emilia though is the fact she can deal elemental damage to 2 elements. Both electric and wind units are fairly prevalent in PvP, and can be dealt with with effective use of Rapi: Red Hood in attacking strategies if she has high elemental damage on her overload gear. Regardless, she is not a good unit for defence teams.
Step-by-step Analysis
Burst generation
Rapi’s burst generation is absolutely terrible. No surprises here: she is an MG unit, and since FPS is capped at 30 in PvP, she doesn’t get to shoot many bullets. Hence, her burst generation is just.. bad.

DPS Output and Comparisons
We can discuss this very briefly in 3 parts: Before Full burst, at the start of full burst and during full burst.
Before full burst, Rapi’s damage output is basically null. She’s basically just like any other MG attacker unit (useless), and she needs to reach full burst to actually do something.
At the start of full burst, Rapi will suddenly hit the target she was shooting at with a high value single target nuke. This has the ability to one-shot the Nikke she is targeting since this is buffed by full burst buffs as well. Hence, the opponent better have something in place to counter this nuke, such as Biscuit.
During full burst, the best comparison we can make is with A2. While A2 constantly shoots 8-10 shots during full burst, Rapi can only shoot 5 AoE shots. These 5 shots are, however, SUPER strong. Given that Rapi has hyper-invested overload gear, these carry a threat to any Electric or Wind unit that comes across her way. With these 2 elements having the most relevant Nikkes for PvP, Rapi can be considered a very serious option for attacking, given that you have enough burst gen units for other teams. She also deals decent single target focus damage as she gets 97% self ATK buff for her base weapon, hence providing frontline pressure.
Rapi: Red Hood Damage output showcase
From the video, we can essentially prove that any team without proper healing can easily fall prey to RRH’s DPS output. This is a slight variation to the various teams already suggested below in the teambuilding section. This is a slower team to counter Emilia’s delayed nuke setup.
Synergies and Weaknesses
There is no special synergy that Rapi: Red Hood has. However, she does have a forced synergy, since she needs to survive to be able to deal any damage. This is also the case with some other units (e.g. Ein). Hence, she forces herself to be used alongside survival based comps, such as with Blanc, Noah-Biscuit, or any other Taunter + Biscuit combo.
As for her weaknesses, they’re pretty simple. No burst generation and super high feed. Scarlet and Jackal feast on Rapi’s base weapon. These 2 are very huge factors as to why she is rated lower. There is also a third thing, which mostly depends on who she goes up against. She is very restrictive in the sense that survival/healer comps such as with Noise Blanc or Noise Rapunzel can completely out-heal Rapi’s damage dealt, unless she is double buffed. In this case, a lot of heavy investments are made into Rapi’s team in the sense that important burst gen units are forced to be used alongside her, which can weaken other teams. She is also a fire unit, which means that Emilia’s shots hurt her more than she would hurt others…
Impact on current meta
Tier List Rating: A
Rapi: Red Hood provides no major improvement in the current meta. She is yet another option for attacking strategies, making defenses even weaker than they already are. She is more of a PvE focused unit than PvP.
She is likely to drop into B tier after a revamp of the PvP tier list based on Champions Arena.
Team Examples
All teams can be used for attack, but are not ideally used for Defence teams unless the player has a severely incomplete roster. Positioning is very important, try to copy the positions as is.
The Main Idea
This team is what can be considered one of the two teams that work for Rapi: Red Hood. It’s a simple idea: use blanc burst to ensure RRH doesn’t die until the end of full burst.
Centi and Jackal replacements:
- Anis
- Emilia
- Rumani
Note: Jackal is the only B1 unit in this team. Only Rumani can replace her.
The Other Idea
Here, we use Noah to block all incoming damage in P1, giving time for Rapi to deal damage to the enemy team.
Noah Replacements:
- Moran
- Nero
Centi Replacements:
- Jackal
- Emilia
- Maiden: Ice Rose
- Laplace Treasure
- Any ClipSG
Rumani replacement:
- Jackal
A Nuke upon Nuke
An idea to have Rosanna deal a high damage nuke on 2 nikkes, followed up by RRH’s nuke on another Nikke. Emilia softens up P1/P2/P3 meanwhile, waiting for a swift finish to come.
Double the buffs, Double the fun!
Same ideas as before, but Red Hood enters the arena to buff up RRH.
Extreme Survivability
The notorious god comp. Just hope you don’t come across Scarlet.. This team may lack in damage output.
In the end, as you can see there is not much when it comes to creativity with Rapi: Red Hood in PvP. A very restrictive unit, that costs at least 2 ClipRLs to perform at an okayish level.

There’s no character squares that indicate which characters to use under the teams section. Not sure if a bug or my computer is just borked
Seems to be an issue on your end. They’re fully shown on here.
