Skills

Note: Assume all skills are level 10

Skill 1: Guardian of Friendship

■ Activates after 12 normal attack(s). Affects all allies.
Recovery of Cover’s HP ▲ 14.57%.
■ Activates when applying Shield. Affects all allies.
Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 85.17% for 10 sec.

Her skill one provides additional core damage, not multiplicative. Which means if a Nikke has 200% core damage and Naga’s skill 1 is level 10 and active, this means that the damage dealt will be:

200% (base core hit) + 85.17% (Naga skill 1) = 285.17%.
However, there are other factors such as:
(Full burst (50%), Crit Damage (50%), Weapon Efficiency Range (30%))
that share the same dmg bracket as core damage. Essentially while the core damage buff looks broken, it slightly gets diluted due to it sharing the same dmg bracket with other dmg buffs, however it is still very good as the values given by the skill is rather huge.

Naga’s Skill 1 is amazing under the condition that a Nikke that provides shield targets Naga, this means that Naga requires a shielder that can specifically target her. This means Poli, Centi, Blanc shields won’t work. However Tia, Aria, Ether, and Folkwang’s (If Naga somehow has the highest ATK) Shields should.

Since shotguns have a fire rate of 1.5/s, this means that her Cover repair should proc every 10s~ including reload time.

Centi’s shield only procs on herself
Aria’s shield covers everyone, which means Naga skill 1 should proc from this

Skill 2: Support of Friendship

■ Activates after 5 normal attack(s). Affects 2 ally unit(s) with the highest ATK.
Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 40.07% for 5 sec.
■ Activates after 5 normal attack(s). Affects 2 ally unit(s) with the lowest HP percentage.
Recovers 9.58% of the caster’s final Max HP as HP.

Her skill 2 can at least be proc’d without needing other Nikke assistance. She can have full uptime on her core damage buff and she has the ability to heal more than Pepper and Rapunzel off burst. This makes her a great hybrid dmg buffer and healer.

Burst: As Long As We’re With Friends

Cooldown: 20s

■ Affects self.
Gain Pierce for 10 sec.
■ Affects all allies.
ATK ▲ 16.18% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.
■ Activates when applying Shield. Affects all allies.
ATK ▲ 31.02% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.

Her burst is pretty amazing, especially as 20s CD Nikke. But it does require the same condition as her skill 1 to unlock most of the buff potential this burst has.

Provides a pretty big ATK buff based on caster’s ATK. Which means she wants good/overloaded gear to provide the team bigger buffs. She also gains the ability to pierce which is useful in most boss fights.

Campaign

Note: This Doesn’t factor Tia yet as a possible Nikke to pair, will update when Tia launches herself. assume standalone usage specifically for this section.

Despite being a shotgun Nikke, she may find a good general spot in story as she’s one of the rare Nikkes that give ATK in the burst 2 slot with a 20s cooldown. However, burst generation is usually slotted in burst 2. So the user needs to see if her ATK buffs is worth the burst generation loss or if they can compensate by using good burst generating Nikkes in the burst III slot (Alice, A2). Snow white, Alice, Maxwell benefit much more as they’re much more capable of hitting cores accurately and able to hit hard, which can easily enable one burst rotation clears when fighting wave bosses in campaign.

Naga should be able to outheal A2’s self HP drain at high enough skill investments (skill 2 lvl7+) Marciana in shambles, which makes A2 more flexible in team comps outside of only bunny team working efficiently for her.

or

Liter subs = Volume, Dorothy
Mod Replacements = Harran, Preferred DPS’s/ Screen wipers
Flexible Attacker = Preferred BIII Attacker
Alice team requires high investment levels (skill levels at 8+/x/8+) and preferably with overload gear.
Aria team is simply cope.

Arena

Unfortunately, since Naga is a mag shotgun, her burst generation is low. Additionally her skills don’t heal, provide enough utility, or give enough damage buffs to justify her usage in PvP. This means she wouldn’t be very usable in PvP.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Naga should be very good in all content that includes bosses with cores, and should be comparable to the bunnies (Noir + Blanc) when paired with Tia. However some Nikkes benefit less from Naga’s buffs if they can’t accurately hit core. Critical/rate Damage buffers also get diluted as they do share the same damage bracket. Tia’s skill 1 is worded like Helm’s buff. Where Helm actually does NOT increase ATK, but rather, acts like another damage multiplier instead. this basically means it’s very good and acts similarly to blanc’s dmg taken debuff.

■ Activates when recovering Cover’s HP. Affects self.
Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 13 sec, stacks up to 2 time(s) and lasts for 12 sec.
■ Activates when recovering Cover’s HP. Affects all allies.
Attack damage ▲ 32.11% for 10 sec.

Tia skill 1

So we have a Blanc like buff, with much more ATK up, and additional core damage when compared to the bunnies. In paper, this group has more buffing potential than the bunnies, but a less universal as not all bosses have cores, and not all Nikkes can hit cores accurately/consistently.

The bosses with easy to hit cores (without pierce) in Special intercept are Blacksmith and Modernia (If not destroyed). which means that Naga’s core damage buff wouldn’t be too beneficial in Special intercepts when using Nikkes without pierce. However, she still provides decent healing and ATK buff, much more when paired with Tia. She’d see usage in this mode standalone and more so with Tia.

In Union raids, she’d definitely be first or second team. Her best in slot should be with Tia, Alice , and Maxwell. Or Tia, Snow white, Maxwell. Naga’s heals and Tia’s constant cover repair should help the team remain healthy, so a designated healer shouldn’t be needed.

Solo raid, Naga’s team would definitely be one of the highest damaging teams while also being comfortable to use due to reason stated in Union raid. However, if the boss does not have a core, their value goes down quite a bit, but definitely are still valid to use as 3rd – 5th team due to them being able to give good dmg buffs to the team anyways.

Ending Thoughts

Naga seems like a good standalone Nikke, but her potential is unlocked when Tia is in the team, similar to the bunnies. And similar to the bunnies, they look extremely strong. However, the school girls seem a bit more “specialized” against certain content with a higher damage ceiling, while the bunnies are much more universal and slightly more comfortable to use.

Very tempting Nikkes to put out before Anniversary, however I think they’re very much worth it if you’re looking to get them as a pair.

A more proper analysis will be released when she is available to pull.

  1. Yea this is screaming “Bunny Twins”. Recall Noir and Blanc has to be with each other to gain full benefits. The same can be said about the Pearl Girls. Seeing the skills about Tia, Naga needs Tia for full power. Also Tia’s ability to restart the chain right after her burst is good so as long as you have another B1 otherwise it is an infinite loop in B1.

So super early though on Tia pairings:
    B1: Tia, Litter
    B2: Naga
B3: Whomever is your go to B3 NIkke or “Meta” Nikke.
