Overview
- One of the best offensive supporters due to having one of the most unique buffs in the game (less buff dilution), while also providing huge numbers of said buff
- Naga needs a individual shielder to proc her buffs, and there are a very limited amount of them. with the 2 most viable pairs being Tia and Crown. Other Nikkes that are also able to proc her skill, but it is anti-synergetic due to conflicting burst slots. (Those Nikkes being Aria and Ether)
- Naga also has great team sustain through great healing and cover repair.
- Best in slot Nikke in multiple Campaign and Bossing team comps.
- Core hits require very high accuracy which is the main point of her kit, meaning weapons with low accuracy/can’t core hit are anti-synergistic to her kit.

Skills

Skill 1: Guardian of Friendship
■ Activates after 12 normal attack(s). Affects all allies.
Recovery of Cover’s HP ▲ 14.57%.
■ Activates when applying Shield. Affects all allies.
Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 85.17% for 10 sec.
Great offensive and defensive skill. Cover regeneration procs around every 10s~ including reload time, a bit less if max ammo rolls on equipment is apparent. Cover is extremely important in some boss battles, which makes Naga a great option for cover repair if Liter is not available to use. E.X Nihilister (Ch. 20), Cocytus (Ch 16).
The second effect of skill 1 is worded vaguely. To proc the additional core damage, a shield Nikke that applies on individual Nikkes are needed. This means Nikkes like Blanc, Centi, Poli will not work as the shield is shared amongst all Nikkes. However Shield Nikkes like Tia, Aria, and Ether will.
The core damage she gives is additional, and not multiplicative. Core damage is usually 200% of damage dealt with some Nikke exceptions. Core damage shares a damage bracket with full burst, weapon efficiency range and critical hits. So the formula would be as follows:
Base damage (1x) + Core damage (1x) + Crit Damage (0.5x) + Full burst mode damage (0.5x) + Weapon efficiency range (0.3x) = 3.3x Damage. Naga skill one would add 0.85x totaling to 4.15x damage. Despite the multiple values that bloat the bracket, this skill still gives at least 25%~ total damage boost when attacking a rapture’s core.

Skill 2: Support of Friendship
■ Activates after 5 normal attack(s). Affects 2 ally unit(s) with the highest ATK.
Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 40.07% for 5 sec.
■ Activates after 5 normal attack(s). Affects 2 ally unit(s) with the lowest HP percentage.
Recovers 9.58% of the caster’s final Max HP as HP.
Naga’s skill 2 can fortunately be proc’d without needing assistance. Her skill 2 gives a sizable core damage buff with amazing off-burst healing. High and consistent healing that procs every 4s~. An invested Naga can easily keep the team healthy in boss fights, especially when taking advantage of her skill 1 cover repair too. This makes her a great rare b2 healer that only has a 20s cooldown, which can make her fit into many teams when used as a standalone Nikke.
Her healing surpasses Pepper and Rapunzel off-burst without sacrificing DPS potential, which is a amazing quality to have on Nikkes that have the ability to heal. Her healing is also enough to sustain A2 with high enough investment (skill 2 level 5 + OL gear) and Scarlet.
Burst: As Long As We’re With Friends
Cooldown: 20s
■ Affects self.
Gain Pierce for 10 sec.
■ Affects all allies.
ATK ▲ 16.18% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.
■ Activates when applying Shield. Affects all allies.
ATK ▲ 31.02% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.
Similar to skill 1, she needs a Nikke that shields her to activate the second part of her skill. Attack given depends on caster’s ATK. Supports have less base attack than attack Nikkes, however she gives large % values so the class difference doesn’t impact the buff too much. Supporters have more or less have 0.83x~ ATK of a Attacker class Nikke. Due to the nature of her buff, dupes and overload gear increase her buffing potential.
Her pierce is a pretty decent bonus to have which can help her occasionally hit stray core shots or hitting multiple parts against bosses which is always welcome to have.
Campaign
Despite being a shotgun Nikke, she’s a pretty solid Nikke in the burst II slot. Standalone, she’s able to ATK buff Nikkes while having the capability to heal and repair cover which is great when pushing at low-mid combat power deficits (~10%). However do note that burst II slots are usually reserved for burst generation Nikkes such as Centi or Anis when paired with Cool down reduction Nikkes for smooth full burst rotations. For visual reference, please refer to this article.
One can compensate by using burst III Nikkes with high burst generating capabilities without sacrificing DPS. Such Nikkes are Alice, A2 (Limited Nikke) and Laplace. Naga is also a solid pick in Missilis tribe tower which can help newer players get through the floors easier.
Highest DPS potential Team (w/o Tia)
Alice, Maxwell, and Modernia can take advantage of Naga’s core hit damage bonus consistently due to the accuracy of their guns. However If instant screen wipes are needed, good substitutes for Modernia are Scarlet, Harran, A2, or Epinel
Snow White Team
Note: This team has low burst generation potential.
Team that focuses on one shotting target rapture by taking advantage of her core damage buff and ATK up. Maxwell can be replaced with Scarlet or Privaty if more wave clear is needed and burst energy is sufficient enough. Click here for more information on how to play Snow White Teams.
Ending Notes: Naga can be slapped mostly into any teams as she fills a similar role to Rupee, very versatile, however burst generation is an issue. Tia is not mentioned as of right now due to her taunting mechanics which makes her extremely difficult to play with in high CP deficits, and will be explained further in Tia’s analysis.
Arena
Unfortunately, since Naga is a mag shotgun, her burst generation is low. Additionally her skills don’t provide enough burst healing, enough utility, or give enough damage buffs to justify her usage in PvP.
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Special Interception
Naga is a great healer to use in special interception, namely against Modernia, Chatterbox and Blacksmith. Since she’s a great burst II pseudo healer, burst I healers are no longer needed which frees us a slot there. Since Burst I Nikkes are usually reserved for Cooldown reduction, this improves team composition variety. She’s also able to deal decent damage via pierce and give good team buffs as well.
Unfortunately Blacksmith is the only boss with an open and easily hit core throughout the entire match, which means that her core damage buffs won’t be utilized very well.
Union Raid | Solo Raid
In Raids, Naga should be run with Tia to fully unlock her full kit. a review of both of them as a support duo in Raids will be done at Tia’s analysis.
Fortunately, Naga is still functional (to a lesser degree) without Tia so we can still use her specifically for her great passive healing, cover repair and minor ATK + Core damage buff. For players who didn’t manage to pull Tia or with an incomplete Nikke collection, Naga is a great addition to any team as she provides both sustain and offense, freeing up slots for more DPS units. As mentioned in her Skill 2 section, Naga’s passive healing is amazing as she can keep “zerg” units like Scarlet and A2 at bay, not letting them deplete their HP completely (or <40% for A2).
Strengths
- -Versatile Nikke, Can be used Standalone and still perform well
- -Great passive healing with cover repair
- -Higher Team Damage Ceiling compared to the bunnies when paired with Tia
- -Very high uptime on her team buffs
- -I love her
- -Thighs
Weaknesses
- -Crit Damage buffers don’t mesh well with her core damage buffs.
- -Core damage buffs is rendered useless if the target Rapture has no core.
- -A lot of her buffs are locked under a shield condition.
- -Would rather hold her skirt rather than your hand
Should You Pull?
Naga is a pretty good standalone Nikke which can definitely help a lot of commanders with incomplete unit box. However, since anniversary is arriving, players with more complete boxes and with the bunny twins (Blanc + Noir) and not very interested in competitive solo raids can skip and see what anniversary has in store. The more competitive solo raid players should have a incentive to pull Naga (and Tia) as their kits will see strong usage there.
Newer players without the bunny twins can pull a copy of her as she’s a pretty strong and versatile burst II Nikke when used standalone. However sparking for her (200 mileage tickets) is not recommended on normal rate Nikkes and should be used for Pilgrims, which anniversary will most likely release on a new one.

Why is OL boots not recommended for her? Is she one of the ones (like A2 increasing her max HP being ‘bad’) that suffers a demerit in some way? I tried to look through her kit deeper but I can’t find any reason.
Or is it just that it’s too low a priority and other units would prefer it more?
Resources spent can be used for other Nikkes instead. Having good/more OL rolls on her doesn’t improve the main strength of her kit / Primary use case. I hope this answers your question!
