Mast: Romantic Maid is Mediocre BY HERSELF, this guide accounts for Anchor: Innocent Maid as their kits are made to perfectly complement each other.
Overview
Note: Assume notes are when paired with Anchor: Innocent Maid, otherwise Mast is mostly mediocre by herself due to 40s cooldown and 10s stun
- Mediocre on her own, however with Anchor: Innocent Maid, they become the best buffers for distributed damage DPS Nikkes (Scarlet: Black Shadow, Quency: Escape Queen, Phantom)
- Mast’s ATK up is based on her ATK, so copies and dupes are recommended. Supporters also do have less base ATK compared to Attackers by 0.8x~. which means her buff value %’s are realistically 0.8x of stated values when buffing DPSs.
- At full possible buffs, the combined value of Mast’s and Anchor’s caster ATK buffs can reach 115%~ (averaging both their bursts) or 92%~ when buffing Attackers every full burst with 100% reload speed when using Resilience Cube. This value is HIGH
- Basically a must pull
Newbie/Incomplete Box Section
On her own, Mast is not note worthy as she forces a 1-2-2 burst formation, which usually results in huge DPS losses if there is no synergy between the supporter Nikkes. She stuns herself for 10s after every 3 full burst modes and resets her buff stacks, making her a very inconsistent burst II Nikke.
This is why Anchor: Innocent Maid exists, she perfectly mitigates her stun on the 3rd full burst and forwards for permanent uptime on her “drunken” state, which improves her buffing capabilities. Their kit mostly focuses on Nikkes with distributed damage, which only a select few Nikkes have (Scarlet: Black Shadow, Quency: Escape Queen, Phantom). However, due to their massive ATK up team buffs, sustainability, and reload speed, their offensive buffing capabilities can exceed the bunny duos/777 Squad for any Nikke team.
The Valentine Maids can even beat Tia/Naga against bosses with no core even without a distributed damage Nikke in the squad. Mast: Innocent Maid also scales off from Caster’s ATK, which means she wants as many dupes as possible for more effective buffing. She should remain in the wishlist until core 7.
Basic Information

- Rarity: SSR
- Burst: II
- Weapon: MG
- Class: Supporter

- Squad: Aegis
- Weapon Name: Romantic Heart

Skill 1: A Pirate’s Heart
Activates when entering Burst stage 1. Affects self.
Drunken: Hit Rate ▼ 20%, stacks up to 3 times continuously.
Activates only when in Drunken status. Affects all allies.
Critical Rate ▲ 20.05% continuously.
ATK ▲ 35.02% of caster’s ATK continuously.
Mast is an MG Nikke, and their hit rate can scale into an indefinite number as long as the Nikke keeps firing. The 60% hit rate buff shouldn’t affect her ability to hit cores at all, all this debuff does is Mast needing a few more bullets for pin point accuracy.
Crit Rate usually is a bad stat, but Mast’s skill 1 gives enough where it is rather impactful. this is more apparent with Nikkes that high single-target bursts that can’t core hit. Bursts such any DoTs, Scarlet: Black Shadow, Quency: Escape Queen, Phantom, etc etc.
Her drunken status is passive, so her offensive buffs have permanent uptime.
Skill 2: A Pirate’s Spirit
Activates when entering Burst stage 3 in Drunken status. Affects all allies.
Distributed Damage ▲ 15.03% Number of Drunken stacks for 10 sec.
Reloading Speed ▲ 15.04% Number of Drunken stacks for 10 sec.
Activates when the caster reaches max stacks of Drunken at the end of Full Burst.
Affects self after the stacks are removed.
Hangover: Stun for 10 sec.
“Drunken” State is considered a debuff and can be cleansed or debuffed by Nikkes such as Ade and Mica:Snow Buddy, however this isn’t recommended as Mast’s offensive buff scales on her drunken debuffs.
This is where her duo comes in, Anchor: Innocent Maid. Anchor debuff prevention starts at the third full burst, this will prevent Mast from overdrinking (3+ stacks) to avoid stunning herself and cleansing all her drunk stacks. This is allows her to have 3 stacks permanently, which benefits Mast’s skill 2 and burst.
Distributed Damage ▲ works as a damage multiplier in the same bracket as damage taken up debuff (Blanc, Novel, etc).
Burst: A Pirate’s Romance
Affects all allies.
Critical Damage ▲ 40.04% for 10 sec.
Attack Damage ▲ 15.04% for 10 sec.
Affects all allies if in Drunken status.
ATK ▲ (20.06% Number of Drunken stacks) of caster’s ATK for 10 sec.
A very good burst that synergizes with distributed damage (ATK Damage up x Distributed Damage), additionally providing a huge attack boost for all allies (60.18% ATK on max stacks). Crit damage is also great for the teams Mast will be put into.
It’ll take 3 full bursts to fully stack her drunk status, which is around 40s~ within the round. Which is a bit long of a ramp in game modes like Campaign or PvP.
Campaign
Mast/Anchor duo should work very well in campaign despite the ramp up times for both of their kits. These two will be able to increase the ceiling of how far Scarlet: Black Shadow teams can push, work well with Nikkes with long reload times due to the potential of 100% reload speed at max investments (All MGs, Alice Teams, Etc) while offering over healing which may allow some Nikkes to tank just a few more shots in high CP deficits.
Drunklet Origins (Wind Advantage)
Scarlet: Black Shadow should be able to push very high deficits with this team. This team can also handle all stage quirks stages, whether it be hit count shields or fart raptures (High healing/Over healing). Burst generation will not be an issue either as long as the Commander knows how to manual spam with Alice.
Rapi: Red Hood can be replaced with any CDR
100% Reload Speed Alice (Fire Advantage)
Even if there’s no distributed damage Nikkes in this team, it is still more than viable because of the massive ATK buffs the duos give, while also providing 100% reload speed to all characters when paired with level 3 resilience cubes with skill investments. Allowing “infinite ammo” during full burst for Alice.
Modernia can be replaced with Asuka or Rapi: Red Hood as burst III with a CDR replacement.
Arena
As a MG, her burst gen is very low. Her burst needs time to ramp up to truly get value, but still has decent values even at stack one, but there are much better utility based burst II’s.
It’s not expected for her to see use in Arena due to simply better options.
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Mast and Anchor plays a really big role in Solo Raids as they do free Crown from Scarlet: Black Shadow teams, wind-weak or not. This allows a bit more flexibility in team building, and obviously a lot more damage overall in Solo raid teams.
Kraken
Rapi: Red Hood can be replaced with any CDR. Alice CAN’T be replaced by Mana here as Anchor: Innocent Maid will steal charge speed buffs from Scarlet: Black Shadow.
Harvester
Both Quency: Escape Queen and Phantom have distributed damage, and their bursts deal a good amount of their total damage. However, both Quency and Phantom do have a lot of buffs that Mast and Anchor provide. Ludmilla: Winter Owner can replace Phantom
Should you pull?
Absolutely, the player wants one Mast and Anchor (they’re mandatory to pair) . Even outside of distribute damage teams, they are very potent offensive buffers, have utility to fit into most teams (100% reload speed, great healing) and simply Elysion Tower carries.
They have the best buffing capabilities for one of the top solo raid teams, which is Scarlet: Black Shadow teams. This also frees Crown from them, allowing for more flexibility in team building in Solo Raids and Union Raids.

Resilience – Using Mast with Anchor will net a possible reload speed of 100%, which is a instant reload
Bastion – If all the DPSs are hogging Resilience cube.
Expected Skill Priority
| Nikke | Budget Skill Investments | Recommended Skill Investments | Skill Priority | Notes | Investment Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mast: Romantic Maid | Skill 1: 7 Skill 2 : 7 Burst : 7 | Skill 1: 10 Skill 2 : 10 Burst : 10 | S2 > S1 | Skill 1 simply is a permanent ATK up and Crit rate up Skill 2 provides more for the teams she’ll be placed in due to higher multipliers and importance of buffs compared to her skill 1. Upgrade a few levels over skill 1 if using her with teams with damage distribution Mast’s burst simply gives more offensive power, and a great amount of it too. worth to invest it to level 10 | Highest |

Thanks for early review!
I’m confused, so it’s still a 1-2-2 setup, with Mast and Anchor alternating for B2? I wonder if they’re better than Crown + Naga for Kraken AI
Yes, it’s still a 1-2-2.
Yes, they will be better because outside of Reload Speed for the whole team they also provide a large amount of Distributed Damage buffs and ATK buffs (although casters ATK). The Kraken team in the Interception section will be the new best team.
A third buffer pair has hit nikke.
Wait, can someone explain, since the max stacks is 3 how would she remain permanently at 3 stacks when Anchor will lower it by 1?
Anchor starts preventing stacks after the third full burst. Mast gets stunned at the end of full burst if it has not been cleansed/prevented.
Burst III proc does not = full burst mode, so right after mast gets full drunken stacks, her skill 2 and burst count it (x3 stacks) at burst 3 stage, Anchor then cleanses a stack in full burst mode. This leads to mast not getting stunned/not removing all her drunken stacks, while getting the maximum amount of possible buffs.
Hence why other debuff cleansers don’t work well with Mast. Anchor on the other hand is specifically made to perfectly mitigate Masts Quirks/Downsides
Oooh, okay. I must have read it wrong at some point and thought some of these buffs were permanent and linked to her drunken stacks, but it’s just the hit rate debuff.
Thanks for the reply!
Why hasnt the skills page been updated?
Thanks for the reminder. She’s been added and it will visible very soon.
Elysion Tower???
nvm
I know alice can’t be replaced by mana (due to anchor stealing the charge speed) but what about replacing her with a very well build summer sakura?
Valid replacement, as mentioned in the teams section of the Kraken guide.
Does the OL’s and equipments increase buff effect of caster’s ATK?
The flat stats you get from the gear, yes.
The percent you get from overload lines, no.
ty
What about collection item?
Yes, collection items also work like the flat gear stats and increase the buffs provided.
Hit rate of MG is not working the way Skill 1 section imply. She has finite accuracy that hit rate debuf will reduce and even with one drunken she has already accuracy of SMG
I know it’s an old unit, But I believe 2B can also use the Distributed damage multiplier
While that’s a valid thought, due to how 2B works increasing her HP has more value than increasing the distributed damage. So yes, you could use Maid Mast and Maid Anchor with 2B but using normal Mast and Rouge is better due to the max HP conversion.
