Skill 1: Drone Supporter

Activates when the last bullet hits the target. Affects all allies
Recover 10.95% of attack damage as HP over 3 sec.
Activates when the last bullet hits the target.
Affects 2 ally unit(s) with the highest ATK.
HP Potency ▲ 26.98% for 3 sec.

A skill that provides decent HP regen, more so on DPS units. Accounting for fire rate of shotguns (1.5/s) and reload time (1.5s), the uptime is around 40%. Uptime can be further improved by slotting in Privaty/Reload buffers in the team and/or equipping Resilience Cube. Using Both Privaty at skill 1 level 10 and Resilience cube gives this skill 100% uptime. This assumes no ammo buffing Nikkes are present in team

Attack Damage (will now be referred as life steal) includes both Normal ATK and Bursts that apply damage. HP Potency buffs healing skills such as lifesteal and recover x% of final HP. However it does NOT affect the potency of healing skills such as Increase Max HP and HP duplication skills.

Damaging Projectiles when life steal is active does NOT heal Nikkes. When using pairing Marciana with Nikkes that have heavily damaging bursts (Snow white, Maxwell, 2B, etc), and healing is needed, eyeball Marciana’s Ammunition and time burst accordingly to last bullet.

Skill 2: School Nurse

Activates when using Burst Skill. Affects all allies.
Recovers 28.11% of caster’s final Max HP as HP.

A bread and butter healing skill. Healing is applied every burst cycle if Marciana is bursting, and does a pretty good job keeping units healthy when under sustained damage. This skill in tandem with Skill 1 is able to keep self-draining HP Nikkes at respectable HP levels (Scarlet, Guillotine, A2). Do note that this skill is based on casters final Max HP. So some investment is needed on her for her to heal more effectively.

Skill 3: A Teacher’s Grace

Affects all allies.
Storage: If the target obtained a healing effect that exceeds the character’s Max HP
excess portion will be stored, up to 27.87% of the caster’s Max HP, lasts for 10 sec.
DEF ▲ 20.9% of the caster’s DEF for 10 sec

An interesting skill. This allows Nikkes to exceed their normal max HP values when Marciana is bursting. Increase max HP buffs applied prior of burst doesn’t increase the size of “storage”. This skill doesn’t act like a shield or barrier of a kind unlike Centi, Blanc or Poli’s shields. This means that any damage that exceeds stored HP amount directly damages HP accordingly.

Storage is shown whether it is filled or not. filled HP storage is indicated by a light green hue, and empty HP storage is indicated by a dark green hue.

But, wait, don’t we already have a skill like that? Increase Max HP?

Well, there’s a few key differences.

Increase Max HP

• Increases the effectiveness of skills that rely on Final Max HP. Such examples are 2B’s Skill 2, Noise’s healing and etc
• Nikkes that have Skills that drain current HP also account for buffed Max HP
• Increase Max HP buffs also heals according to max HP gained.

Storage

• Does NOT increase the effectiveness of skills that rely on Final Max HP.
• Nikkes with skills that drain Current HP and have overflowed HP only accounts for base Max HP and does not account for any extra HP that is currently on “storage”. However HP can be drained from “storage” still if there is any.
• Nikkes and skills that benefit from having full HP (Soline, Brid) treats storage as a “shield” like mechanic. As long as Soline and Brid’s base HP isn’t reduced, their skills remain active.
• Does not heal according to storage amount

Campaign

Not very useful in campaign due to being a shotgun unit as they’re prone to miss easily against mid-far ranged small raptures and healers are entirely optional. However, there is one good unit that can pair with her assuming well invested, and that is A2. Since there are no natural healers in b2 that has a 20s cooldown, A2 can be used without sacrificing a BI cooldown reduction slot (Liter, Dorothy, Viper) or BIII healing slot (Helm, Noir w/ Blanc). A2 somewhat covers for burst generation loss as usually Burst generation units are slotted in burst 2 in this mode (Centi, Anis).

A team that can screen clear Raptures effectively at low-mid CP deficits. A2 is assumed to be well invested (7/7/7~ skill level).

BI subs = Volume, Liter

Harder team to play with but can potentially be a good team. Alice and A2 are solid burst generators, A2 takes care of small raptures while Alice and Maxwell can take out the elites/boss raptures. Alice and Maxwell also buffs charge speed which helps A2 dish out more attacks.

Arena

Unfortunately, since Marciana is a mag shotgun, her burst generation is rather bad and her life steal can be easily countered by Nikkes who can provide “immune” status such as Noah, Biscuit, Makima, etc. Her over heal doesn’t seem like it would be too useful here either as most Nikke’s will be far from max HP, let alone going over it when full burst occurs. Her first skill 1 passive proc will be around 6 seconds in the fight, this is when full burst has already occurred and most fights will be over at this point.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Marciana is a versatile healer and does her job rather properly. While she is the only natural burst II healer at 20s CD, she offers nothing exceptional on the table. Her being the only viable 20s CD healer in the BII slot does open up a more team building options, but teams with her won’t be able to achieve higher (or even close to) overall team DPS when compared to the more meta burst II’s.

Marciana should see some good usage in all intercept modes, especially for people without the bunny team (Blanc + Noir). She should help fresh chapter 16 clearers in terms of survivability/options when tackling the special interception bosses.

For Union raid, healers are not required as if you’re at high enough Synchro levels, but still definitely usable if needed. Great pair with A2 if fighting against bosses with parts but don’t want to use a bunny team slot for A2.

She should have a slot in any team where survivability is required in solo raid teams. Also opens up creativity in what burst 1’s can be used without worrying about having 2 burst 2 healers (as most of the viable healers in b2 are 40s).
A viable non-CDR/Healer burst I, 1 BII healer, and 3 B III team comps can be made in the team 5 slot now.

Strengths

• Enables more options for team building
• only natural 20s CD BII healer
• Pretty good healing values
• Potential OHKO protection and pairs well with Nikkes that benefit from having Full HP
• Education.

Weaknesses

• Offers nothing else on the table
• With the expanding Nikke roster, her versatility is less impactful in the future
• No Sex Ed.

Should You Pull?

Despite her versatility, current meta burst II’s offer so much more, and there are individual Nikkes that can cover what Marciana can offer and do more. She seems more like a Newbie friendly Nikke where she is good for people with very incomplete Nikke collections. She falls in value the more Nikkes that are released.

Also like, Naga and Tia kits are in the Nikkipedia and can be viewed by the public. They look MUCH better than what Marciana can offer.

Newbies can wishlist her in the future anyways, i’d recommend skipping this time.
