Regroup feature is big!! Improvements to AI seem slightly helpful, but we’ll see how good it is soon.
TL;DR
- Regroup feature will be added with the incoming update.
- It allows players to exit a boss fight without consuming an attempt, similar to Mock Battle.
- It also means you no longer have to exit entirely from the game when a non-Mock battle needs improvement.
- This update will be released with the incoming update.
- It allows players to exit a boss fight without consuming an attempt, similar to Mock Battle.
- Improvements to Anomaly Interception rewards
- Stages 8 and 9 will have their own increased reward tier, instead of capping out at 7.
- Income for Manufacturer Arms and Custom Module Shard will be increased; nothing about the chances for drops.
- It is specified that if you manage to reach Stage 7 vs Kraken, the amount of Custom Modules Shards given out is expected to go up by about +50, the equivalent of the daily Custom Module shard reward that was given out from Surface dailies.
- This means at Stage 7, assuming the expected yield is consistent, you will get a minimum of 161 shards a day, so 1 – 2 guaranteed Custom Modules a day.
- Full Burst should hopefully look even more amazing with the proposed changes.
- It is specified that if you manage to reach Stage 7 vs Kraken, the amount of Custom Modules Shards given out is expected to go up by about +50, the equivalent of the daily Custom Module shard reward that was given out from Surface dailies.
- This update will be released in April.
- View Mode will be expanded upon to also allow players to look at a Nikke’s weapons, particle effects and projectiles, if they have any.
- This update will be released in April as well.
- The incoming March event, 2×2 Love, will include a visual novel ‘mini-game’ that revolves around Commander, Arcana and Privaty.
- It has a lot more text than usual, as expected of a visual novel.
- Multiple endings and branching paths to seek out.
- Fully voice acted important scenes.
- It has a lot more text than usual, as expected of a visual novel.
- Aside from the incoming half-anniversary, there is another, major event coming this April, just before the half-anniversary, so the developer team is busier compared to even past anniversaries.
- It’s likely going to be incredibly good bait just before half anniversary, so be careful with your pulls.
- This is very likely why Arcana will be the only unit being released in a three week event, which hasn’t happened since Crown within 1.5 Anniversary.
Dear Commanders,
I’m Hyungsuk Yoo, the director of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.
As the cold winds fade, spring begins to fill the air. I hope that in this season, you can find a moment of leisure amid your busy daily lives.
With spring around the corner, I want to briefly share some important updates and improvements that are being prepared. While these are not major system changes, we prepared them with the intention of giving you a more convenient gaming experience. Please read them at your leisure.
Regroup Feature Update
NIKKE’s boss content can be considered the crown jewel of its shooting gameplay. For those who enjoy this, we have some news we think you’ll like.
Currently, there are various boss content where you compete to set new records, including Interception, Solo Raid, Solo Raid Museum, and Union Raid. In these gameplay, achieving higher records matters more than just clearing stages, so many Commanders play them repeatedly to set new records.
However, there has been one inconvenience in these boss contents. To reorganize the squad, you need to restart the game client. I believe having to exit the game and restart it whenever you want to reach higher scores or reorganize your battle rhythm has felt troublesome.
This is why we plan to introduce a regroup feature that allows players to reorganize the squad and retry immediately without restarting the game. With this feature, we aim to eliminate unnecessary processes so you can focus on the boss battles themselves and enjoy the challenges.
This feature is scheduled to be implemented in the March update.
Improvements to Anomaly Interception Rewards
Next, I’d like to go over the improvements to the Anomaly Interception rewards.
As part of this update, the overall rewards in Anomaly Interception will be increased starting from phase 1. Our preparations were carried out specifically with the goal of increasing the acquisition of Custom Modules and T9 Manufacturer Equipment, which are highly valued by our Commanders.
We are still adjusting specific values at the moment, so I can’t share exact figures yet, but for the increase in Custom Module rewards, the target levels are as follows:
Under normal circumstances outside Full Burst Day, reaching phase 7 in Anomaly Interception with three daily attempts is expected to yield as many Custom Modules as the daily missions in the Surface content beta did.
On Full Burst Days, the expected yield will increase further, providing a more satisfying boost.
At the same time, completion rewards will be given for phases 8 and 9, which don’t hold much significance beyond the record itself. We hope that with these improvements, Anomaly Interception can serve as a challenge-focused content, while making it easier to obtain Custom Modules and equipment.
We aim to implement this update in April. Aside from this, an additional system to increase Custom Module acquisition is under discussion and will be introduced to you as our work progresses.
Improvements to View Mode
View Mode is a convenience feature found in Nikke details screens and Nikkepedia that allows players to preview the character’s battle motion, widely used by our Commanders.
However, it does not display how the weapon looks in use and the visual effects of projectiles, so it does not perfectly represent the actual battle state.
As such, we plan to enhance the logic of the Combat View Mode in the April update, allowing players to preview visuals identical to actual combat, including weapon resources and projectile effects.
With this, we hope you‘ll be able to view more accurate battle animations and motions of the characters.
March Event: 2X2 Love
In March, we will be launching 2X2 Love, an event filled with the fluttering excitement of spring. Along with the story, there will also be a mini game—our first ever in a spring-themed event.
This mini game contains stories that unfold like a visual novel, and you’ll get to experience different routes and endings depending on your choices. The story will flow according to the choices you make.
The mini game also contains a large amount of text, so rather than the usual short, fast-paced play sessions, we wanted it to feel more like a story that you can slowly immerse yourself in.
The crucial scenes all come with voice-overs for a more immersive experience, so please take your time to play through it with excitement.
April Event
Lastly, I’d like to talk about our event in April, the month when GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE celebrates its half-anniversary.
Usually, we share these details through special livestreams during half-anniversaries, so they are rarely mentioned in the developer’s note. But since I’ve already touched on some of our spring events, I’ll briefly share a little.
To be honest, the developer team has been busier preparing for the half-anniversary than for the anniversary. That is because, aside from the half-anniversary, we have another surprise event coming in April. This event is also quite large in scale, making this one of the most hectic times of the year for the team.
Personally, I’m quite satisfied with the preparation for the April event centered on the half-anniversary, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you all enjoy it. We’ll keep polishing everything until the last moment to make this a joyful spring for everyone.
That’s all the content we’ve prepared for today. In this season filled with the fragrance of flowers, I hope your days are full of happy moments, and that you can enjoy a warm spring together with NIKKE.
