Label Analysis – Should You Pull?

Commander… would you really use your resources on someone like me?

Overview

  • B1 Iron AR Defender that hard counters Electric DPS, especially at the start of combat.
  • Very good attack buff when using Burst for allies.
  • Constant shields make her very annoying to deal with.
  • Can pseudo-taunt with her high self-ATK buff when offburst in PvE, but lack of real taunt is a shame.
  • Lack of cooldown makes her niche for PvE.
  • Incredible on PvP offense vs Electric DPS defender teams, only really usable in CA defense.

Should You Pull?

Outside of waifu purposes, it really depends. The most obvious thing she does right now is absolutely obliterate defense teams in Arena that use Electric DPS. (i.e. Scarlet, Cinderella, Rosanna and to a lesser extent, Anis: Sparkling Summer (sAnis)) Using her as a defender in Special Arena is questionable, because all attackers would have to do is not send their Electric DPS at her, and her strongest gimmick is gone.

In PvE, while she has a very valuable attack buff, without any cooldown, it’s tough to slot her in teams if it’s just going to be for the attack buff; the two units in raids that get themselves an off-burst cooldown unit, Tove (Treasure) (ToveT) and Miranda (Treasure) (MirandaT) offer more than just an Attack buff to justify it for offense.

If she’s going to be used in PvE, it should also make use of her Electric DPS neutering; she has a powerful niche in Electric maps within campaign, especially those that threaten kills against your team at the start of combat, such as those maps that start with many kamikaze raptures or powerful beam shooting raptures, already prepared to come at you. If the map is Electric, such a massive damage taken reduction against their damage will help your team live far easier, especially when doing this at a campaign deficit, where it would be necessary.

TL;DR Don’t pull for her unless you care about PvP or are positive you’ll make use of her Electric DPS countering in PvE content. The attack buff is good, but on its own at the moment, isn’t enough to justify pulling for her. Honestly, I’m glad her design wasn’t wasted, she’s worth talking about.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

Label is a B1 Iron AR Defender that provides massive survivability against Electric damage, and still has incredible defensive value in other context, with some caveats that will be explored further below.

Her best use scenario is PvP on offense, since sending her out against most teams that have an Electric DPS unit will likely result in a victory. Do note that in spite of her dominance in PvP offense against one element, she should never be set to standard Defense teams, as players can just counter her easily, and not send Electric DPS against her.

In PvE, she performs well if played to her greatest strength, the massive damage reduction against Electric DPS within the first 5 seconds for the team is so valuable if up against raptures that will immediately kill your team at the start of combat, though only if they’re Electric Code. Her constant shield and capability of drawing aggro also serves to bolster her defensive capability.

While her ATK buff is honestly really good, the lack of cooldown makes her a hard fit in standard teams. She must be played out to what she does best primarily, countering Electric DPS.

At the start of combat, Label gives herself a sizeable shield with continuous duration. As long as the shield is up, she gives herself a ton of effects from Skill 2. This shield, her Delusion, is the backbone of Label’s kit; Appropriately, it’s completely centered around it, and having it broken has consequences. Every time it is broken, her Delusion is Shattered: She gives herself a stack of Delusion Shattered every time it is broken in combat, up to two times.

Every time her shield is broken, she stuns herself based on the number of stacks of Delusion Shattered: once means it’s only 1 second, twice means it’s 2 seconds; That’s as high as it goes. Label will always stun herself for at least 2 seconds every time her shield is broken from then on.

However, Label also prevents herself from being targeted by single-target attacks for the same duration upon the shield’s breaking: This means she is very safe to attempt to recover her Delusion (shield) when the stun ends. Something to note is that if Label is the only target left, she will be targeted anyway. This also also doesn’t prevent her from being hit by multi-target attacks.

If Label has no Shield, her next basic attack will immediately restore her shield. If Label has no Shield, if she uses Burst, she will immediately restore her shield. Note that Burst only recovers the Shield if she lacks it in the first place; this will be seen when she uses Burst in the middle of reloading. She recovers her Delusion very easily, making her a very frustrating opponent to defeat, since it’s such a sizeable shield for how easy it is to obtain.

Skill 2: Sweetness of Love (Imagined)

Activates at the start of battle. Affects all allies (except self).
Damage taken from Electric Code enemies ▼70.4% for 5 sec.
Activates 1 time(s) per battle.

Activates only while in Delusion status. Affects self.
Burst Gauge filling speed ▲70.4% continously.
ATK ▲93.39% continuously.

Damage taken from Electric Code enemies ▼70.4% continuously.
Activates only while in Shared Delusion status. Affects all allies (except self).
ATK ▲80.36% of the caster’s ATK continuously.

At the start of combat, Label gives all allies (except herself) a huge damage taken reduction against Electric Code enemies specifically for 5 seconds. This damage reduction is incredible, and is her most notable niche. In Arena, it can be used to neuter Electric defense teams, and in PvE content, it can be used to save yourself against Electric maps giving you trouble, especially at the start, namely if it begins with a bunch of kamikazes or powerful beam attackers that are ready to strike, but deal Electric damage.

As long as she has her shield, Label will continuously give herself a lot of Burst Gauge filling speed, a huge ATK buff and damage taken reduction against Electric enemies. Something to note is that in spite of the Burst Gauge filling speed buff being so big, it’s only supplemental; as an AR, her burst gauge fill speed is still relatively low, but it does help bolster her PvP performance alongside the rest of her kit.

The ATK buff at first seems like whatever; she won’t be dealing DPS any time soon, especially with no other way to add onto her personal DPS… however, having such a high self-ATK buff means that, assuming all things being equal, she’ll usually have the highest ATK stat out of all Nikkes outside of Full Burst, in spite of her Defender status, due to the sheer value of this semi-permanent ATK buff. Realistically, it’ll take a while for Label at LB0 to approach the ATK stat of your established DPS units, let alone surpass them, but with proper gear and bodies from Wishlist, it’ll happen.

Since there are a lot of regular Raptures and even bosses that default to targeting the Nikke with the highest ATK stat, the ATK buff gives her a pseudo-taunt against these Raptures in particular. While not as good as an actual taunt, it can do the job in distracting enemies from your main DPS units. Combined with her shield, she can tank damage for the team very well.

The damage reduction against Electric Code enemies she gives herself is continuous as long as the shield is up; worrisomely, though, this doesn’t actually affect the shield. The shield is its own entity with its own stats, meaning the damage reduction against electric damage can only protect her from moves that can’t hit the shield in the first place, reducing the value of the damage reduction Label gives herself.

When Label uses Burst, she gives herself the Shared Delusion status, which in turn, gives allies a very sizeable caster ATK buff. This buff is honestly incredible: even though Defenders have a lower base ATK stat compared to Attackers and Supporters, the value of the caster ATK buff is still high enough to render it the highest 10s ATK buff on a 20 second cooldown; Brid: Silent Track’s reign was quite short-lived.

Since she doesn’t get the ATK buff from Shared Delusion, her ability to pseudo-taunt mostly ends during Full Burst time; however, the ATK buff should optimally allow DPS units to defeat enemies, making this less of an issue.

Burst: Bursting Heart

Cooldown: 20 seconds

Max HP ▲20.26% for 10 sec.
Shared Delusion: The
Shield created by Label becomes invulnerable for 10 sec.

Label increases her max HP for 10 seconds. Simultaneously, she makes her Shield invulnerable for 10 seconds. This means if she aggros any standard attacks during this time, they’ll fall flat against her shield; Since it is invulnerable, it also means she can’t have her shield broken, allowing effects based on her Shield being active to not wear off for the duration of the Burst.

Something to keep in mind is that the Shield itself becomes invulnerable, but not Label. While most moves can’t bypass shield, the moves that can will still be capable of hurting Label; this includes moves that can Pierce through Cover and Shield, Sustained Damage if it has already affected her health directly, Sequential Attacks and attacks that don’t target shields in general. This mostly matters for PvP, and to an extent, PvE.

Campaign

While Label isn’t directly replacing anyone, she has a very noteworthy niche; If Electric damage maps are giving you trouble, Label can be immediately helpful. If an Electric map is full of a lot of one shots at the start, Label’s S2 damage reduction can easily save the whole team, since up to 70% damage reduction is nothing to scoff at; combined with max SR collection item giving an additional 17% damage reduction, units built for story will easily survive anything that deals Electric damage within the 5 second timespan.

Even after 5 seconds pass, her potential to draw away enemy fire with her high ATK stat into hitting her shield that regenerates way too easily is also valuable. Something to note is that as soon as the shield breaks, she will redirect fire away from herself, and it’ll take a while for her to draw aggro again when this happens against raptures that target Nikkes with the highest ATK. Meaning this is only particularly good against strong, singular hits, as those will ‘overkill’ the shield instead.

Her attack buff on B1 is high for its duration, but due to its scaling based on caster ATK, it’s not immediately strong on an LB0 Label. Also, she offensively only offers a caster ATK buff, which isn’t that valuable from the B1 slot in campaign, especially when fighting at a deficit. Since she lacks cooldown, she struggles to find a normal place in campaign, but if her powerful niche in countering Electric damage is needed, she is always a good fallback plan.

Arena

Her most immediately useful role; her ability to instantly neuter Electric DPS for 5 seconds at the start of combat is incredible for Arena; Because arena is so fast paced, that most matches are decided within the first Full Burst use, those 5 seconds are a huge deal within PvP settings. Electric DPS units set to Defense will be negated by Label. This primarily includes Scarlet (especially with Trina), Cinderella, Rosanna, Maiden: Ice Rose and to a lesser extent, sAnis.

Since sAnis keeps dealing lots of Electric damage past 5 seconds with Burst active, she isn’t affected as strongly, but the remainder ones definitely are; Scarlet is always part of a fast Burst setup, especially with Trina, Cinderella is fast burst most of the time, and assuming Label is properly built, Label’s high self ATK buff from S2 means one of Rosanna’s buff removals vs the two highest final ATK units is wasted against her; note that even though the effects are continuous, Rosanna’s dispel does remove her buffs until she reapplies her shield.

Note that this is only on Offense, though. Non-Champion Arena Defense is a different story. Label suffers in Defense because all an attacker would have to do against seeing Label on the enemy team is not send out an Electric DPS unit, and her biggest selling point is gone. Worse, if they send out units that can take advantage of the extra hit count her shield provides for increased Burst generation, Label actively detriments the team on Defense. For those reasons, don’t send her out in regular Defense.

Champion Arena is a different story, though; Due to the nature of the game mode, there’s no controlling who Label will face off against in the best of 5 setup once the teams are established and sent through the tournament. She could either run into a favorable matchup and easily win, lose to a bad matchup, or come out neutrally and it’s a coin flip.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Label is a bit easier to fit into boss fights compared to campaign, but a lot of her defensive value is lost in boss fights. Very rarely do boss pull off huge moves to try to defeat the team at the start. While her ability to draw aggro with a higher ATK stat outside of Burst time is still possible, and be hard to kill with her constantly regenerating shield, bosses don’t reliably perform attacks this way, it depends on the boss being fought.

While her high ATK buff to allies (especially once bodies and gear is obtained to boost the base value of her ATK) is actually a good overall DPS for most characters, the issue with it is that it’s just an ATK buff. Bringing an off-burst cooldown unit for just an ATK buff isn’t exactly worth it for raid context.

The two main units where off-burst cooldown is brought, MirandaT and ToveT, offer so much more than just an ATK buff to justify doing so: ToveT gives ATK, ammo, attack speed, crit rate AND damage to shotguns, MirandaT gives a guaranteed critical hit for one shot (it’s more flexible than it sounds) and a ton of critical damage to make it count alongside the ATK buff. All Label has for offense is just an ATK buff, and one that needs to scale up with more bodies and leveled gear.

Label would have a lot more potential in the future if there were a better B2 cooldown unit, honestly… her ATK buff, assuming stats are equal, actually provides a better general DPS buff to units than Liter’s buff; An 80% caster ATK buff from a Defender, assuming equal bodies and equally leveled gear, is about a 53% ATK buff to an Attacker, compare that to Liter providing an 80% ATK buff for 5 seconds after the third Burst time.

If you want her to be less niche for raid context, better pray for Dolla fave item or something, haha. If only her or Helm: Aquamarine were better…

Strengths

  • Hard counter to Electric DPS in PvE and PvP, especially at the start of combat.
  • Has the highest 10s ATK buff on a 20s cooldown, though it needs to scale up to be that way.
  • Can pseudo-taunt enemies that base their targeting on the highest ATK opponent outside of Full Burst.
  • Constantly regenerating shield makes her very tough to kill.
  • So much value into one skill (S2) makes her cheap to get value out of.
  • Boosted burst generation while shield is up increases her value in PvP and supplements other burst gen in all other context.
  • For how easy it is to recover the shield, it is honestly really big, even without much investment.
  • Girlfailure fans, rejoice.

Weaknesses

  • No cooldown renders her into a niche position in most other context.
  • Not that good in regular PvP defense, since enemies can easily account for her presence.
  • Shield doesn’t benefit from the damage reduction, rendering it weaker than one would hope, even vs Electric DPS.
  • The damage reduction to the team only lasting 5 seconds means it’s only for short term protection.
  • Only offers an ATK buff to allies offensively, reducing the value of bringing an off-burst cooldown unit for her; her defensive capabilities must shine through for it to be worthwhile.
  • Shield breaking redirects damage away from her, which could prove fatal to DPS units if it happens at an inopportune time.
  • Damn, bitch, you live like this?

Recommended Cubes

tempering cube,vigor cube

Tempering Cube combines with SR collection item and the damage reduction she has to make her even more durable, especially against attacks that bypass the shield. Vigor Cube increases the value of her shield, making it tougher to break, and allowing it take more hits. While the standard high level cubes can increase the value of her caster ATK buff, it is recommended to use them in context where survival isn’t necessary, which is her strongest selling point.

Doll Priority

She has incredible synergy with an SR Doll defensively, the damage reduction it provides, the Cover HP protecting her while she is stunned and the increased DEF all help her survive more than usual. Also, the boosted stats are all useful for her. That being said, she is a niche unit that will not always see use outside of PvP offense, and to an extent, Champion Arena.

If you plan on using her, I would recommend giving her an SR5 doll and leaving it as such for the foreseeable future. The values it provides are usable enough as is, without needing to commit so much. Doll priority is Medium.

S1 << S2Skill 1 determines the size of her shield. It has a good enough base value, so it doesn’t have to be leveled that much. It can be leveled to 7 if needed.

Skill 2 is where all the goodies are at, including the ATK buff from using Burst, rendering leveling Burst quite useless. The damage reduction, burst generation increase, self ATK buff, everything. It’d be a must-max if she weren’t niche, to be honest. You can max it if you wish, it honestly scales incredible, even for how niche she is.

Burst scales poorly. The invulnerability is already at max duration at the start, and the max HP gain is very low per level. The reason it is at 1 instead of 4 is because it really does scale that badly to use Burst manuals for, which are so valuable.
