Intro
A rather small tier list update for now, big update is still underworks. But would like to still attempt to do a small update for the tier list to better reflect meta currently. This update is to attempt to provide a bit more clarity on which Nikkes are “better” in regards to top tier placements, primarily in the bossing section.
Changes
Boss 9.4 > 9.8
Story 8.4 > 9.5
Has proven to be more effective once more Nikkes that can actually core hit has been introduced to the game (Red hood, Christmas Ludmilla) which massively improves overall DPS, these additions of Nikkes affect both her boss and story ratings, Initial rating also underestimated Modernia’s effectiveness when utilizing the core damage buff. Even without core hits, she provides good off-burst healing, cover repair and a very nice 10s ATK buff.
This ranking assumes Naga is paired with Tia.
Boss 9.4 > 9.8
Story 8.1 > 9.5
Overestimated how much of a gimp her taunt mechanic would be for the team. Most of the time, it doesn’t matter since Raptures would be dead before they get a chance to shoot at the team. Her taunt mechanic can also be a God send in final mob wave, where she’s able to distract enemy fire for a period of time. This duo has the highest DPS support capabilities as of right now.
This ranking assumes Tia is paired with Naga.

Story 9.5 > 9.4
PvP 8.2 > 9.1
No longer the undisputed support Duo. Although they have more effective survivability skills in their kit, damage is more important often times than not, which the school girls do better. Blanc’s indom skill has been proven to be rather very effective when used right and her damage taken debuff is also rather devastating in PvP.
This ranking assumes Blanc is paired with Noir

Nothing really changed with Noir, Similar reasoning as with Blanc.

Boss 9.65 > 9.4
Nothing really changed with her, however there is a Nikke that can deal very similar damage to her and isn’t Overload Dependent (Christmas Ludmilla) and can’t be used with the school girl team (Naga/Tia) while Christmas Ludmilla can. With the addition of a Nikke that released that simply does more damage than her (Scarlet: Black shadow), she simply drops a tier for not being able to compete with them.
Boss 9.8 > 9.3
There hasn’t been much Bosses lately that Dorothy’s buff can be fully taken advantage of. Or not of the same tier of Liter’s universal ATK up and cover repair can provide for the team.
Boss 9.15 > 9
It’s proving difficult to slot her in to recent Solo raids without forcing awkward team formations (2-1-2, 1-2-2) due to the lack of survivability. Also due to the nerf of Blanc, Noir’s rating, it seems not justifiable to keep Novel as the same tier as them.
Story 9.4 > 9.05
Boss 9.15 > 8.70
Yikes. Probably the most controversial nerf, but the Nikkes above her simply deal much more damage. Her skills are amazing in paper but is heavily weighed down by her OL requirements and weapon type. Assault Rifles simply can’t hit cores very well, which is a huge damage modifier. While Nikkes above like Modernia, Ludmilla, Red hood, and etc can with relative ease. With Modernia’s rating Nerf and recent addition of strong DPS Nikkes, it’s unjustifiable to keep her at the same tier.
In regards to her story rating, she’s still a very good screen wiper. But more constant screen wipers have been proving more fruitful in late game story rather than one instance of huge burst damage. Although, her burst still can be clutch in select campaign stages
Boss 7.6 > 8.5
PvP 9.0 > 9.1
Biscuit has been proving rather useful if people know how to play around her cover repair to escape sticky situations. She also has a strong team in solo raid that is still used in the top 5 teams for the past seasons (Dorothy,Biscuit,Poli,Summer Anis, Guillotine/Scarlet)
Story 9.5 > 8.5
Used to be an extremely strong campaign Nikke, however since the top tier DPS’s that have been released throughout the game have some sort of burst generation included in their kits (Alice,Red hood, Support Rocket Launchers) and the top tier supports have shields included in their kit (Tia, Blanc) to bait kamakazi raptures, while offering massive DPS buffs, she simply can’t stay at the top anymore. She also has similar substitutes that can compete with her burst generation support (Nihilister,Anis).
Story 9.0 > 8.7
A strong but Niche campaign clearer that requires a lot of skillful play. However there has been a good amount of Nikkes that can do very well in campaign that have similar or better campaign effectiveness than her while being MUCH easier to play around with.
Boss 9.0 > 8.5
Nothing has changed, She’s only useful in select bosses. She is simply pushed down due to the newly released Nikkes outperforming her.
Boss 8.5 > 8.0
Similar Reasonings to A2 ranking drop. Requires Tove to do competitive damage. Leona does not seem like she’ll impact the shotgun archetype “meta” as well.
Boss 8.2 >8.0
Similar reasoning to A2 ranking drop.
Boss 7.0 > 8.1
Strong synergy with select teams (Snow white teams, Maxwell Teams, etc) when her skill 2 is timed right. Damage share greatly reduces healer pressure and can be really helpful in most bosses.
Boss 8.0 > 8.1
Bumped her a bit, underestimated her healing. However her healing is still mostly effective in certain teams with strong DPS’s. This is because most of her healing comes from lifesteal.
Boss 9.05 > 8.65
Similar Damage to Scarlet, but harder to buff. Ranking drop similar to A2’s Reasoning.
Ending Thoughts
Hopefully this little update clarifies the top tier DPS’s a bit. However I do expect peaceful conversations over some changes, feedback and thoughts are always welcomed in the comment section!

tia’s infinite taunt can actually be pretty useful for bosses and projectile enemies, since she can I-frame them all at once by herself instead of worrying about massive CP instadeath projectiles hitting your entire team. plus they have much better buffs than the twins. instant shot attacks are the opposite for her tho since you can’t really I-frames those so thats the trade off

In all seriousness, I do agree with most of these rating adjustments. The Centi one I feel is long overdue, I think I used Centi in the last 4-5 campaign chapters only once, and even then I switched her to Anis because I needed the extra burst gen (it was that EX stage that introduced the squid raptures, and I was really struggling with clearing it at the time). I feel like I would bump up Marciana’s rating even more since the last few Solo Raids she was in like 85-90% of the top level teams I looked at. Unfortunately I still don’t have her, so I can’t speak from experience on exactly how good she is, but just going off the top teams 8.1 it feels a bit low. I also think Scarlet’s boss rating drop is a bit too harsh, but I understand the reasoning, and do agree it should be a bit lower than it was. Still, lower than Helm and Guillotine just doesn’t feel right to me.
I dont think we need to down Scarlet rank that much, the new meta team for hard mode are tia + naga + scarlet + modernia + red hood, they literally butcher the enemies man! Me myself already on stage 16 hard using this team
If I change drunk scarlet for harran and make it tia + naga + harran + modernia + red hood you think it can work?
You’re not gonna bet able to burst since red hood’s burst 1 is on a 40 second cooldown and tia needs a second burst 1

i must say, Drunk scarlett, being the classic basic atk style character with her atk percentages highest among AR users and her ability to increase her own ATK%, she’s falling a bit behind this new meta and with a few added Nikkes such as red hood. i do feel that she is not as OP as she was but still one of my highest damage dealer
Maybe do Scar BS a 10 on boss assuming she is with Alice all the time

Why can’t modernia be used with the school girls?! I do it all the time. I’m not good at understanding that stuff but it seems to work really well for me, I’d like to know why they say you can’t use her with them.
It is only for Bosses, because you lose DPS if you burst with Modernia on only one target and Schoolgirls setup is 2 B1 and 1 B2 which means your B3 are Modernia and another DPS, while Bunnies you Burst on the other DPS and then Noir, for campaign is another thing because of waves of enemies.
I feel like drunk scarlet is still the scariest attacker to have to deal with in Arena if you don’t have an invested Noah to counter.
Scar BS doesn’t seem to vanquish my team in one fell swoop like crippling booze dependency does.
