Skill 1: Residual Heat
■ Affects self. Activates after landing 30 normal attack(s).
Critical Rate ▲ 9.28% for 10 sec. HP ▼ 2.01%.
Permanent critical rate buff assuming there’s a target for Guillotine to attack. Critical damage doesn’t have a great impact on overall DPS but still an increase regardless which is always welcomed.
The second effect of this skill also reduces Guillotine’s after ever 30 shots (every 0.5s on 60 FPS), it is simply an enabler for her skill 2. Do note that the HP drain percentage is based on total HP, and will not slow down as HP goes lower. Guillotine is unable to self-terminate from this skill and will always require a hit to take her down
Skill 2: Shroud of Darkness
■ Activates after landing 150 normal attack(s).
Affects self. Critical Damage ▲ 14.69% for 5 sec.■ Activates when HP falls below 70%. Affects self. ATK ▲ 0.96% with every 1% of HP loss. This effect is active continuously.
First effect simply gives Guillotine a permanent Critical damage buff. As mentioned previously, Crits don’t impact overall DPS much but any increment is welcomed.
Next effect is responsible for most of her DPS capability. S1 causes her HP to drop constantly and once it reaches 70% threshold, the attack buff will max out at 0.96% x 99.
Her DPS potential rivals Scarlet and surpasses her if the enemy has exposed core as Guillotine can consistently core hit and if Scarlet is unable to (Which is pretty often).
Max HP buffers without healing
To have this skilled enabled much faster without waiting for her HP to drop fully, there are Nikkes that the Commander pair with her that increase max HP without healing, effectively reducing Guillotine’s “Current HP”
Burst Skill: Dragon of the Deep
■ Affects the enemy with the highest ATK. Deals 1237.5% of final ATK as damage.
■ Affects the same target when the caster’s HP falls below 50%. Deals 1237.5% of final ATK as additional damage.
Burst that does really decent damage, especially if her health is low as it would account for her ATK buff. The second hit from this skill will benefit from the full burst multiplier (1.5x) while the first hit will not. This is why the two ticks of damage will show different values despite having the same Final ATK % Values.
Campaign
Guillotine isn’t the first pick when it comes to campaign as she takes a long time to ramp up her ATK buff. However she is vital to Elysion Tower as Guillotine is the best DPS unit currently of that manufacturer (god save elysion). Mast is a great partner as her burst increases Max HP without increasing current HP which boosts S2’s ATK buff briefly. Under most circumstances, you don’t want to run a healer with Guillotine as it reduces her HP deficit and decreases the ATK buff.
Despite her DPS potential being great, the lack of AoE potential she has, and the amount of time she takes to ramp up does hurt her campaign viability.
Instant Reload Team
Dorothy can be replace Volume as they have Cooldown Reduction, Volume is a great pairing with Guillotine as she has Critical synergies. S.Anis is also a great pairing for Guillotine as she decreases reload speed, minimizing Guillotine’s downtime. When paired with Resilience cube, can prevent her Machine Gun from completely unwinding due to reloads. Privaty is used to assist Anis: Sparkling Summer, but can be replaced with Scarlet for a screen clear burst.
Mast can be replaced with Centi if Burst generation is an issue.
Arena
Machine gun units are not great in Arena because they have poor burst gen, low burst damage and easily countered by Emma and Scarlet. Although her burst has potential of sniping the enemy team’s hyper carry, you’d need to pair her with a few high burst gen units to compensate for Guillo’s burst gen.
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Guillotine has respectable DPS potential, the only caveat is you can’t heal her or her DPS plummets which makes running comps with Guillotine very risky and mald inducing. The only respectable Taunter that can be used with Guillotine without healing her is Moran.
In raid scenarios, Liter will be prioritized to stronger teams so Volume will be the ideal B1 to use with Guillotine as she has crit buffs of her own to synergize with Guillo.
Crit Team (Special Interception)
The full electric DPS comp, S.Anis giving useful buffs to other DPS units, Mast accelerating Guillotine’s damage ramp up. and Volume’s crit synergy.
Other B1s without Cooldown Reduction are also viable but you’d need to use a Burst 2 with Cooldown reduction instead, Dolla/S.Helm are the only ones who satisfy this condition.
Used in special interceptions where healing is not needed.
Taunt Team (Solo Raid/Special Interception)
Team that tries to have Guillotine’s health as low as possible without her being in danger. a rather well invested Moran should be able to fully tank most Solo Raid bosses. Although Moran does not have a 100% uptime on her taunt so manual play may still be needed occasionally.
Strengths
- Good DPS potential
- Very high ATK buff on skill 2
Weaknesses
- Takes a long time to fully ramp up her DPS
- Healing her greatly reduces her DPS/ Risky Gameplay
- Delusional
Should you Wishlist?
Elysion don’t have many strong units so competition for the wishlist slot isn’t fierce. She definitely deserves a slot on your Wishlist.

Recommended Harmony Cubes

As usual, Bastion is great for Machine Guns but if you’re pairing her with S.Anis, using Resilience will makes more sense as it prevents her MG completely unwinding due to reloads.
