Yor x Nikke

Note: This was made first day of release of D: Killer Wife. A more detailed analysis and guide will be published once more testing has been done.

Basic Information

  • Skill 1: Calm Sniping
  • Skill 2: Assault Formation
  • Burst: Kill the Target
  • Cooldown: 20s
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Burst: I
  • Weapon: SR
  • Class: Supporter
  • Element: Fire
  • Manufacturer: Elysion
  • Squad: Perilous Siege
  • Weapon Name: SR – Hidden Edge

Skill 1 – Calm Sniping

Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 3 time(s). Affects self.
Gain Pierce for 1 round.
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects all allies with a Sniper Rifle.
Pierce Damage ▲ 13.55% for 10 sec.

Very simple skill, it does what it states. Pierce Damage ▲ seems to be in the same bracket as ATK damage up (Tia,Helm, Self Skill 2). This buff increases damage even if there are no parts to “Pierce”. A.K.A, the damage buff still applies on hitting the body

Pierce Nikkes

Alice,Red hood,Harran,Maxwell

These Nikkes have pierce via skills / burst. As long as there’s a “pierce” next to the damage number, the damage will be buffed. However Snow white and Dorothy are not considered a Sniper rifle Nikke, and will not receive the pierce damage buff.

Skill 2 – Assault Formation

Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 8 time(s). Affects all allies.
Cooldown of Burst Skill ▼ 7 sec.
Activates when attacking with Full Charge for 5 time(s). Affects all allies.
Attack damage ▲ 5.06% for 10 sec.

The main meat of her kit, cooldown reduction. Cooldown reduction is vital in every team, however how she gives CDR is rather unique. She gives CDR every 8 full charge shots, which would result in around every 10s assuming target is still.

The huge issue with this skill is that it requires 8 full charges, this is above her max ammo capacity by 2. this can and will lead to some occasional rather long and awkward full burst cooldowns. This means that 1 max ammo overload roll is very recommended (late game gear) to mitigate this. This skill is okay to leave at level 7~ when looking for smooth cooldown rotations. Charge speed is not needed, nor will it help the Commander in fights/ Will not expand teams that are optimal. Isabel still in shambles

Kill The Target

Affects the enemy nearest to the crosshair.
Deals 269.28% of final ATK as additional damage.
Inflicts Wipe out on the target for I0 sec.
Activates when allies’ normal attack hits a certain area of the target afflicted
with Wipe Out. Affects allies.
Buff takes effect depending on the area hit.
Allies that hit parts Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 16.26% for 10 sec.
Allies that hit the body: ATK ▲ 12% of caster’s ATK for 10 sec

A slightly weak burst, as the ATK up is rather small and burst on Caster’s ATK, and damage dealt on core is additive. this means that this burst adds upon the already existing 200 or 250% core damage multiplier (16.26% + 200%)

Wipe out is a rather unique buff is where the Commander has to hit the main body and a part (if available) to get different individual player buffs. However, these buffs can only be proc’d once and does not refresh per full burst. These buff timers are also independent of each other depending on when the Commander hits first. Having a buff locked under a part hit is rather unwanted. This does hurt her on some bosses and pretty much in all campaign stages, but not by much.

Campaign

CDR Nikkes are very vital in campaign, however D: Killer wife might be extremely awkward to use in campaign as auto-aim might prematurely pre-fire shots that are not fully charged, or have idle time tracking targets. Manual intervention is recommended if this becomes an issue. Just for this reason, Volume can be a stronger pick than D: Killer wife for Commanders who auto play.

Pierce Team

Supporter,Red hood,Alice,Attacker

Team that specializes in piercing damage. Blanc/Noir or Tia/Naga team can be used as the main supports in this team. The player may need to play around Alice and D to ensure proper damage and cooldown rotations.

General Team

Since D’s kit mostly appeals to pierce Nikkes, she has “limited” teams where she can used for that would be recommended to use with her. However she can be used anywhere simply because she has CDR in her kit. Just put on your favorite supports, DPS’s and D will do her main job well.

Arena

She’s a Sniper (Low burst generation), her burst doesn’t give much ATK, and CDR Nikkes are useless in PvP. Not recommended to use her here at all.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

D: Killer wife is a much needed Burst 1 addition for Solo raid. She opens up multiple teams, However more testing is needed as this may have changed up a lot of teams. Will be updated in her full guide.

For Special Interception, she works in any team. Liter is still the undisputed Burst I Nikke, but D: Killer wife isn’t too far behind. And pretty much in all cases, should be better than Volume once D: Killer wife gets 1x Max ammo on her Overloaded gear.

Closing Thoughts

D: Killer wife is a great Burst I Nikke that gives people more options to CDR Nikkes instead of it being locked to only 4 (5 if counting limited edition Nikkes), which gives newbies more opportunity to roll on a vital Nikke every team should have, Cooldown reduction.

However she does have a few quirks such as needing overload max ammo and some manual play expression on campaign mode, while the most other CDR’s do not (Dorothy is slightly quirky too). I’d recommend pulling 1 of her if the player does not have any sort of CDR Nikke.

If the player does have cooldown reduction Nikkes, the player can consider rolling for her if they’re focused on Union raid (3 Teams) or Solo Raid (5 teams). If Commanders are uninterested in these game modes, and have CDR Nikes, D: Killer wife can be wish-listed instead

Note: D: killer wife is able to perform not too far behind Liter in certain teams. More specifically when paired with pierce Nikkes that have high self buffing ATK values. (Basically all the meta ones), pull accordingly if the Commander also have these Nikkes.

    • Honestly, a very great question. I’ll look into this and will write anything interesting i find in the full guide. Thanks!

      • Let’s be real you need a rocket launcher to actually gen enough burst guage to use 1cdr, vesti with their reduced full burst can maybe benefit with a second cdr unit , at that point you ll have to probably run dolla or Dorothy with her an quite frankly I’d rather be running maid privaty 90% of the time her dps is just to good

  1. Wifey D’s burst marks all the parts and the main body of whatever rapture gets targeted by it. Idk how many people noticed that yet but I thought it’s a neat detail

  2. Would recommend you run some numbers with her and Nihilister. She also has pierce on her skill 1, and I don’t see people talking about it.

  3. Probably a no but can she substitute for liter in bunny team? Planning on running Alice and Red Hood with it.

  4. Seems like a missed opportunity not having her Burst’s ATK buff be based on Final ATK. The % is already low enough (especially since she’s a supporter) and players are not incentivized to roll OL on supporters.

  5. for Solo Raid i had Tia, Naga, D;KW, Red Hood, and Alice, almost doubled the amount of damage I did with my other teams
