KISAMAAAAAAAA!!!!! (Tis I, her highness’ most favorite item retainer!)

While I like her new burst animation a lot, a lot of players won’t know of her beta one now!! Have a good look at it. It’s quite humorous.
Overview
- Exclusively a Crown buffer.
- Literally doesn’t help anyone else but Crown. The ammo buff she gives to non-Crown allies is pitiful.
- Don’t even think about using her without her highness.
- The buffs are enough to convert Crown into a serious Iron DPS unit, OL lines permitting.
- Lacking a heal for Crown is a shame, limiting her general use to Iron-weak content, as losing out on Crown’s ‘permanent’ Attack Damage buff from S2 hurts other DPS units.
- Totally free!
- Kisama!!! Don’t speak badly of ojou-sama…
Should I get more copies out of the Anniversary Selective Box?
Short answer, yes. Chime is one of the best free units to be made freely available from the selective box. More copies will slightly increase her personal buff power from her S1 that she gives to Crown. Since Crown is an incredibly relevant unit in content, Chime will indirectly be relevant when used to buff Crown against Iron-weak content.
Long answer, it depends on your join date. If you’re a new player that joined with the anniversary, or someone that still hasn’t achieved 5 Max Limit Break (MLB) units, then you absolutely should, even if you lack Crown, because eventually, you will need 5 units at MLB to increase your level cap past 200. Selecting all the options as Chime will guarantee a free MLB unit, making the burden of getting the remaining 4 less worrisome.
If you are already past the 200 level cap and are still relatively new, then you should perhaps reconsider. Maximizing the Nikkepedia is the best way to increase your true level cap, which is affected by how many Nikkes you own and how close they are to MLB. Going for past nikkes you missed out on can help. While Chime’s S1 scales off her own ATK, it’s the least impactful buff she gives to Crown compared to S2 and Burst.
Newbie/Incomplete Box Section
Chime is a Re-enter B2 20s CD Iron SMG Supporter unit. Support is absolutely correct here, all she does is support one unit, her king Crown! All her DPS buffs exclusively buff ‘the king’, who is Crown. While she has an ammo buff for the rest of the team, it’s peanuts compared to what Crown gains.
Considering she exists mainly to buff Crown and turn her into a DPS unit, she will see great use alongside her highness in Iron-weak content. Outside of Iron-weak, there is no real reason to pair up Chime and Crown, as even with receiving increased DPS from her loyal aide, Crown’s DPS isn’t as important outside of Iron-weak content. Crown works well enough as a support unit on her own.
Basic Information
- Skill 1: Chief Aide
- Skill 2: The King’s Secretary
- Burst: For the King
- Cooldown: 20s
- Rarity: SSR
- Burst: II
- Weapon: SMG
- Class: Supporter
- Element: Iron
- Manufacturer: Pilgrim
- Squad: White Knight
- Weapon Name: Chime Bell

Just one skill card! It’s as short as her.
Skill 1: Chief Aide
Activates when entering battle. Affects the king.
Wish: ATK ▲46.46% of caster’s ATK continuously.
As soon as Chime enters the battle, she permanently gives Crown 46.46% of caster ATK as an ATK buff for as long as she lives. Since Supporters have higher base ATK than Defenders, this is incredibly impactful on Crown, though it pales in comparison to the remaining buffs Chime provides for Crown. Its permanent duration gives it high relevance, at least.
Skill 2: The King’s Secretary
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects the king.
Daily Report: Normal Attack Damage Multiplier ▲46.22% for 10 sec.
Upon entering Full Burst, she gives Crown a Normal Attack Damage multiplier, making her basic attacks go from dealing 5.57% of ATK to 8.14% of ATK as damage. This gives Crown one of the strongest auto attacks for a machine gun, rivaling Modernia. Even for a defender unit that has low base ATK, 8.14% per MG bullet is so significant because of how fast it fires. This gives Crown an effective damage per second multiplier of 488.4%. With all the buffs she gives to allies, and is receiving from Chime, it gives her some of the highest DPS potential in the game.
Burst: For the King
Affects all allies.
Re-enters Burst Skill Stage 2
Max Ammunition Capacity ▲20% for 10 sec.
Affects the king.
Loyalty: Attack Damage ▲92.44% for 10 sec.
Upon using Burst, Chime will re-enter Stage 2 burst, allowing a proper Burst 2 unit, namely, Crown, to buff alongside her. She can’t be the only B2 unit in the team, or Burst Cycle will not go through.
She increases the ammo for the rest of the team, but exclusively gives Crown a 92.44% Attack Damage buff. This stacks additively with Crown’s Attack Damage buffs from Burst and S2.

In case there was any confusion as to who the ‘king’ could refer to, somehow.
Campaign
Crown is more useful in campaign as a support unit that can shield and buff allies, as well as taunt enemies. While Chime can help increase Crown’s DPS, since she offers absolutely nothing to the main DPS units, it’s hard to justify using Chime alongside Crown for regular campaign content. Crown’s DPS is one of the first to go to nothing when campaign deficit reaches a high point.
The main issue with Chime is that since she exclusively buffs one unit, it means that all of a sudden, people that just went with whatever lines for Crown to pad their power will have to reroll their lines to more optimal DPS lines to make Chime’s buffs even more effective. It’s not worth going for this in campaign specifically, when Custom Modules are best spent on proper DPS units, to make sure they can eventually pass campaign maps as the deficits get higher.
If your Crown somehow happens to already have the proper OLs to deal DPS, though, using Chime can be an incredibly powerful idea in Campaign. Even outside of Iron Weak content, a Crown that has great OLs that is capable of dealing damage will always be relevant. If you happen to have Crown, but lack any of the other secondary B2 units that Crown works great with (Maid Mast, Naga), then using Chime is actually a pretty good idea to back up your Crown
Arena
Crown is a poor unit to use in PvP. This makes Chime, a unit that exclusively supports Crown, even worse. Don’t bother!
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
While Chime’s buffing prowess makes Crown an excellent DPS, especially against Iron weak content, it also means that now Crown’s OLs matter. Most people just tend to settle for OLs on support units that maximize the power it gives them. However, for Crown now, if you wish to use her alongside her most trusty aide, then you must make sure that her gear leans towards actual DPS now.
Similar to how Arcana revitalized Isabel in Electric weak content, but now forces users to build two units for the setup to work, the same is true for Chime and Crown. Since most users that have Crown already have her invested in, it might seem easy to just level up Chime and pair the two together, but it’s not so simple after all.
While all Chime really needs is skill levels, as her scaling with OLs is non-existant, her presence means Crown would now prefer the standard DPS OLs, ATK, Elemental Damage and Max Ammo, to turn her into a more proper DPS. Out of the three, ammo is the least useful for Crown, as she gives the team a reload buff, making the long reload times of machine guns less detrimental.
No joke, Chime does make Crown deal serious DPS, especially vs Iron-weak content, and to a lesser extent, neutral element content. The combined power of Chime’s buffs, Crown’s buffs, and potential buffs from the team to Crown turn her into a legitimate DPS unit. However, it would be a huge ask to tell people to build more proper OLs for Crown now, especially since there’s no major Iron-weak content to worry about for the time being.
While Crown’s autoattack damage is exceptional with Chime buffing it, in elemental neutral content, you are better off maximizing the power of the DPS units that actually hit the elemental weakness of the target. Chime’s lack of heal to Crown makes it less optimal to use them together outside of Iron-weak content.

I am not kidding. It’s worth considering eventually for Iron-weak content.
Strengths
- Kingly buffs for her highness, I promise thee that.
- Iron-wrought enemies shall be undone, verily.
- Selfish, I am not. I have arrived to you on my own free will.
Weaknesses
- Asking myself to aid the entire platoon? Fool! I serve only her highness.
- Maybe do a better job at crafting her highness’ armor and she would perform superbly, knave!
- A heal from myself is not required. My liege’s protection is all the Crown Kingdom needs!
- As I am working hard for my sovereign for most of the year, I shant return til the next jubilee.
- An unfortunate coincidence, I am weak to that foul being: the Maiden of Thunder.

Recommended Cubes
The cube with the highest base ATK is preferred, to maximize Crown buff from S1.
Doll Priority
Since she is primarily a buffer to one unit, lacks any sort of personal DPS and the ATK gained from a doll isn’t big enough to make a difference in her S1 buff power, Chime’s doll priority is Low. The bulk of her buff power to Crown comes primarily from Skill Levels.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chime | Skill 1: 4 Skill 2: 7 Burst: 7 | Skill 1: 7 Skill 2: 10 Burst: 7 | S1 < S2 | Skill 1 gives Crown a permanent attack buff. It scales with more copies of Chime obtained. Skill 2 is where a lot of Crown’s DPS comes from. Making all the buffs she receives more efficient for her autoattacking prowess is massive. Burst provides a huge Attack Damage buff to Crown. However, Crown gives herself a fair amount from S2 and Burst. You can get away with not maxing it, as stacking multiple buffs of the same name dilutes its strength. | Mid-High |
