Overview
- Good DPS via hard hitting burst
- Mana’s healing can sustain most level-locked content (solo raid, level 400 anomaly intercept). However her healing is still on the weaker side, below Rapunzel and Alice: Wonderland Bunny
- Unique flat charge speed buff, which greatly benefits select Nikkes (Currently Scarlet: Black Shadow)
- Unconditional Resurrection on ally knock-out, a very strong asset in PvP
Newbie/Incomplete Box Section
Most newbies will find a lot of uses for Mana as she can out-DPS a lot of Nikkes (in S-tier and below), provide team-wide healing and charge speed buffs that greatly benefit Nikkes with short base charge speed times (Currently Scarlet: Black Shadow)
Another notable synergy with her charge speed reduction is that it completely eliminates the charge speed requirement for Alice (8% from OL gear), assuming Alice’s skill 1, burst and Mana’s skill 2 is level 10
Mana’s sustain is enough for most bosses if the Commander has no viable healer. Other bosses may require another Nikke with any sort of sustain in their kit (Ex. Liter’s Cover Repair/Taunt Nikkes).
Her resurrection can be good for unique PvP plays and special intercept Alteisen, allowing a Nikke to fully tank a barrage, but there have been a lot of Nikkes that have been released recently that can make Alteisen rather trivial.

Normal Attack Information
Mana’s base burst gen and damage from her normal attacks are average for her gun type. granting 0.25% burst gen meter per hit. Mana’s skill 2 does bump it up considerably, but is still outclassed by manual spam snipers and rocket launchers. However, Mana does have above average burst gen in PvP

Skill 1: Metal y
Activates at the start of the battle. Affects self.
Metal y: ATK ▲ 58.08% continuously. Activates once per battle.
Activates when in Metal y status after landing 10 normal attacks. Affects all allies.
Recovers 2.04% of caster’s final Max HP.
Activates if the caster is in Metal y status when an ally is out of action.
Affects 1 incapacitated ally unit(s)with the highest ATK (except caster).
Resurrect with 96% HP.
Activates when an ally is out of action. Affects self.
Removes Metal y.
Where most of her defensive utility is. Mana’s full team healing is 2.44% of her final max HP per second, which is enough for most bosses that don’t have single target nuking abilities. However, this may be too low when fighting against bosses with high CP deficits in story.
For reference, Alice: Wonderland Bunny’s healing is 2.96%~ per second WITHOUT her healing potency buff (which is ▲ 150%, or 2.5x more healing) + supporter HP scaling.
Mana’s Resurrection quirk isn’t too useful in Campaign except for some select bosses. Namely Alteisein and some Sinister variants/Mace chapter bosses in hard mode. These bosses are known for having unavoidable/unshieldable one shot moves, Mana’s resurrection quirk should help dealing against those types of bosses.
Skill 2: Metal o
Activates at the start of the battle. Affects self.
Metal o: Burst Gauge filling speed ▲ 70.4% continuously.
Activates when entering Full Burst in Metal o status. Affects self.
Attack Damage ▲ 21.12% for 10 sec.
ATK ▲ 63.36% for I0 sec.
Removes Metal o.
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects I ally unit(s) with the longest basic Charge Time.
Charge Time ▼ 0.18 sec for 10 sec.
Activates if the caster has cast Burst Skill before Full Burst ends. Affects self.
Metal o: Burst Gauge filling speed 70.4% continuously.
Mana’s Skill 1 and Skill 2 ATK boost totals to 121%~ during full burst. This number may sound high but as an AR Nikke, she has one of the worst normal damage modifiers.
Mana is the only character with a flat charge speed reduction. this means that Nikkes with lower base charge time benefit more from Mana (0.3s, 1.0s, 1.5s are the current base charge speeds on Nikkes). Mana’s charge speed reduction may be a flat reduction, but is “converted” into x% charge speed reduction depending on the base charge time, noted on how Mana’s charge speed reduction affects Alice.
ARs have really bad burst gauge fill speed, to the point where a 70.4% buff to it is unnoticeable due to dedicated burst generators (clip SGs, RLs, SRs) severely outclassing other weapon types. However in PvP, this buff does bring her up to above average in terms of burst generation, which makes her more versatile in team building.
Burst: Fatal Error
Affects self.
Sustained Damage ▲ 52.8% for 10 sec.
Affects 1 enemy unit(s) nearest to the crosshair.
Deals 396% of final ATK as sustained damage every I sec for 10 sec
Mana’s burst is her great equalizer, it’s one of the hardest-hitting burst that allows her to deal more damage than Scarlet without specialized teams by a considerable amount.
Mana’s burst base values may be below Summer Sakura’s burst, but due to her massive self-atk buffs and other multipliers, her burst damage is slightly above Summer Sakura’s burst without outside buffs, and is around the burst damage of the likes of Quency: Escape Queen and Phantom.
Campaign
Unfortunately, Manas weakest point, and by quite a margin. her auto attacks do not deal enough damage for her to have any meaningful contribution towards elite mobs/stages bosses.
The only meaningful damage she can do is using her burst against elites or stage bosses (burst has nearest to crosshair targeting). Even then, her damage is spaced out in the span of 10s, which is tremendously long.
The only proper teams she can fit in is with Alice teams (assuming charge speed is needed) or Scarlet: Black Shadow teams. Mana/Alice/SBS can’t be used together as Alice will steal Mana’s buff from Scarlet.
Arena
Mana is a specialist in PvP, with her unique trait being that she can instantly revive a key unit. With her being only the 3rd Nikke who can perform this feat, this allows her to synergize with an insane number of teams, and that too as an offburst unit!
This is where she has a slight edge over Rapunzel and xAnne. While xAnne and Rapunzel need to burst to revive, Mana can instantly revive a unit when it dies and allows the burst chain to progress if the unit is crucial to it. There are also tons of other gimmicks that Mana can help perform such as helping Rosanna’s teams.
Look forward to our PvP guide on her in February, where we cover Mana and the new treasure units (especially Helm) for PvP!
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Mana has done the impossible, she’s able to separate Alice from Scarlet: Black Shadow in raids! allowing Alice to be in teams that benefit her more, such as being paired with core buffers or in mono-fire teams. (well that was the case until the maids were announced)
Burst generation is still a huge issue as Alice is the only burst generator in Scarlet: Black Shadow teams. Other dedicated burst generators (RLs and SRs) won’t work as they’ll only serve to steal Mana’s charge speed buff.
Kraken
Grave is slotted instead of Crown for her burst generation. Rapi: Red Hood is recommended instead of liter as (she’s simply better) Rapi or MGs in general have a unique interaction with Grave’s burst gen buff shown here. Rapi: Red Hood and Grave can be replaced by Liter/CDR and Crown respectively.
Burst IIIs can be Naga or Noir (with high elemental damage rolls). Sakura: Bloom in Summer is not mentioned as Mana’s burst does similar damage and it’s best off having a buffer for SBS instead.
Grave team is a bit harder to play as the Commander needs to play around cover, if the Commander does not want to deal with this, Crown is the more comfortable option. Scarlet: Black Shadow and Mana will be the main DPS bursters in this team.
Solo Raid
Pretty much the same team comp as Kraken, with similar replacements if the other teams needs survivability or defensive utility ex: which team needs Crown taunt/Liter cover repair and etc.
Team Building Notes
It’s hard to make specific teams for Mana outside of just shoving Scarlet: Black Shadow into it, so just slap her in any team that you may need a competent healer while also dealing DPS if the Commander does not have Scarlet: Black Shadow. Do note that she does need to burst as a lot of her damage is tied to her burst, so a sub-DPS/non-burst supporter is recommended (Modernia, Phantom, Scarlet, etc).
Strengths
- Mana can DPS, heal and support (certain Nikkes) rather well. Making her a good all-arounder
- Mana can outdps most Nikkes in her tier (S tier Bossing)
- Allows unique plays in PvP
- Can separate Alice from Scarlet: Black Shadow teams, giving more team flexibility in content that requires multiple teams
Weaknesses
- Despite having burst generation buffs, teams with Mana will have severe burst generation problems unless slotting in Grave (Pilgrim). RLs and SRs will only serve to steal Mana’s charge speed buff from Scarlet: Black Shadow (her BiS team)
- Outclassed immediately as a Scarlet: Black Shadow supporter after the announcement of Valentine Maids (Anchor, Mast)
Should you pull?
I would’ve recommended yes, but with the new Valentine maids showing even greater synergy with Scarlet: Black Shadow, and Mana’s Anti synergy with them (Anchor being a rocket launcher), she seems to immediately lost her spot in the meta, which is to free up Alice from Scarlet: Black Shadow in solo raid teams. I’d recommend wish listing her and pull for the announced Valentine Maids if the Commander does not have enough gems for all three of them.
