Overview
- Comparable DPS to Scarlet: Black Shadow (Paired with Alice/Mana) when playing at a stable 60 fps, with Scarlet: Black Shadow having a slight lead
- Expected to be BiS for Kraken teams (does not need to be paired with Rei)/Staple in wind weak content for a long time
- Very high single target damage, good in campaign to single out priority targets
- Dependent on Stable 60 FPS or noticeable DPS loss will occur
- Potential to be a decent buffer for future Sub-DPS units like Modernia
- Can be used as a off-burst DPS with damage slightly below Modernia’s against bosses with cores. Her damage can exceed Modernia’s against bosses without cores.
- Hospital Bed
Newbie/Incomplete Box Section
Asuka Shikinami Langely: Wille is a strong addition to wind teams with comparable damage with our current top wind damage DPS, Scarlet: Black Shadow. Contrary to belief, she does NOT need Rei (Tentative Name) to function properly in teams. In fact, pairing her with strong sub-DPS options (Modernia currently) on element-neutral content can result in equal or more DPS depending on investment.
Asuka provides amazing single-target DPS and okay AoE capabilities during her burst. which is useful in Campaign when singling out targets. Asuka can support future sub-dps’s like Modernia as her burst provides a hefty damage taken debuff.
A lot of her damage comes from her skill 1 proc. This means Asuka might have trouble breaking parts/QTE circles against difficult bosses as her skill procs hit the (body) instead of the parts.
Basic Information
- Skill 1: Anti A.T. Field
- Skill 2: Emergency Repair
- Burst: Annihilation State

- Weapon Name: Mass Annihilation Machine Gun
Normal Attack Information
Asuka’s Normal Attacks are on par with the average MG user (5.5% per shot). However, she has multiple she has multiple damage procs on her skills. These skill procs makes Asuka on par with the DPS of Scarlet: Black Shadow when paired with Alice/Mana.
MG users rely heavily on a stable 60 FPS for their full damage potential. its recommended to have as on settings low when running MG Nikkes if players are aiming for top scores in solo raid/pushing bosses and etc.

Skills

Skill 1: Anti A.T. Field
Activates after landing 50 normal attack(s). Affects the target(s).
Deals 471.86% of final ATK as additional damage.
Activates only when in Annihilation State status. Affects self.
Annihilation State’s additional effect:
Target: Affects 2 enemy unit(s) within the attack range nearest to the crosshair every 10 shot(s).
Damage: Deals 15.62% of final ATK as damage.
Additional effect: Anti A.T. Field: Damage Taken ▲ 0.83% for 30 sec, stacks up to 30 time(s).
Asuka’s most important skill. This is where most of her damage will come from and is a high priority skill to raise.
Asuka’s extra 15.62% proc and damage taken debuff is only active during her burst (this proc does NOT hit more than once when there’s multiple parts). It takes 5s from a fully ramped up MG to fully stack her Anti A.T. Field debuff and is cleared every full burst. the debuff caps at 25%~ which is almost comparable to Blanc’s burst skill.
This skill can provide a modest DPS boost to current and future Sub – DPS Nikkes (Currently Modernia, Scarlet, Phantom).
Skill 2: Emergency Repair
Activates when entering Full Burst. Affects self when in Annihilation State status.
Attack Damage ▲ 30.97% for 10 sec.
Activates when using Annihilation. Affects self.
Emergency Repair:
Function: Reduces MG heating up speed and clears ammo. Fixes recharge speed and restores HP based on the Max HP proportion continuously.
Effect 1: MG heating up speed ▼ 100% for 3 sec.
Effect 2: Clears 100% of ammo.
Effect 3: Constantly recovers 3.77% of caster’s final Max HP every 1 sec over 3 sec.
Effect 4: Fixes the recharge speed with a 60% increase for 1 shot(s).
A lengthy skill but is rather simple. Asuka gets an attack damage boost when she bursts during full burst.
When her burst buffs expire (9s), her ammo gets cleared and she is unable to gain wind up speed for 3 seconds. Reload speed teams don’t mitigate this issue as reload speed is locked at 60% during this duration (effect 4)
However there is a tech that can mitigate this if you run teams with reload speed teams (Mast/Anchor, Crown, Privaty currently). The Commander can stop shooting as soon as the full burst timer nearly hits 1.00 as her burst buffs last 9s.
Burst: Annihilation State
Affects self.
Annihilation States
Function: Reduces the normal attack damage while increasing attack capabilities.
Effect 1: Normal Attack Damage Multiplier 40% ▼ for 9 sec.
Effect 2: Reloads 21% magazine(s).
Effect 3: ATK 46.8% ▲ of caster’s ATK for 9 sec.
Effect 4: Attack Damage ▲ 36% for 9 sec.Affects the target(s) afflicted with Anti A.T. Field.
Annihilation:
Function: After Annihilation State ends, fires powerful attacks at targets
affected by Anti A.T. Field.
Deals 6.62% of final ATK as additional damage.
Mirrors the stack count of Anti A.T. Field for certain targets.
Anti A.T. Field status is removed after the effect is triggered.
Asuka enters Annihilation State during her burst. Her Normal Attack damage multiplier gets lowered but that’s a non-issue as most of her damage comes from her skill 1 proc.
Asuka needs 3x max ammo lines (800x+~ base ammo) and Bastion cube to fully cycle 2 full bursts without reloading (besides ammo clear) for smooth DPS rotations. Her Annihilation bullet removes Anti A.T stacks (damage taken debuff) and deals a total of 198.6% of final attack damage.
Campaign
Asuka: Wille is basically an upgraded Ludmilla winter owner for Campaign.
Asuka: Wille can single out high priority rapture targets very well but she suffers from overkilling enemies via her skill 1 procs when hitting mob targets. She does have minor AoE capabilities but it’s not nearly enough to take care of minor mobs, and her AoE is more useful for applying damage taken debuffs on enemies.
She also has relatively low ATK % buffs compared to the more meta Campaign Nikkes, which is very important when pushing high deficits due to how the CP deficit, and how the ATK-DEF formula interact with each other (this is precisely why some attacks do 1 damage in high deficit campaign pushing).
Real Wind Duo (Wind Strong Content)
Despite Rei supposedly being the “duo” for Asuka: Wille, Rei does not buff Asuka: Wille enough to slot her in compared to Scarlet: Black shadow’s raw DPS. Since both these Nikkes don’t depend on core hits to deal damage, Alice can be slotted instead to buff Scarlet: Black shadow and provide burst generation instead of using Naga.
Rapi: Red Hood can be replaced with any preferred CDR
Fake Wind Duo (Wind Strong Content)
Despite Scarlet: Black Shadow being the BiS team for Asuka: Wille, Rei is still a competitive Campaign Nikke as she has more burst damage potential than Scarlet in Campaign while also having better auto attack damage.
Helm Treasure is important as she provides strong burst generation with strong ATK damage buffs.
General Team Support Archetypes
These support units are usually used if the Commander simply doesn’t have gods greatest gift in Campaign (Crown)
Tia’s shields and taunt can save a lot of runs. Despite not having much core damage potential, it is still welcomed to have.
Spam Tia for burst gen.
Blanc is the next supporter in line. the player can opt for using Rouge and blanc + sub-dps (Modernia,Scarlet,Phantom) or simply using Blanc + Noir. Don’t use all three in one team.
Massive ATK buffs and 100% reload speed, enough said.
ATK damage buffs and big burst generation when using MG Nikkes, which Asuka is. Modernia can be slotted as sub-dps as well. Burst generation will be inconsistent when using stall tactics.
Both do similar roles. simply providing more offensive buffs. Mari should be priority to slot in. Do not pair.
If the Commander does not have any of the Nikkes listed above, simply slot a burst gen RL such as Centi or Anis if burst gen is needed. Otherwise use a Nikke with the most CP/preferred buffs.
Arena
She is a Machine gun unit. Simply do not use MG units in PvP (Except Rosanna), gomen.
Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid
Kraken AI now has a new BiS team! (although massive investment is needed).
Kraken Current BiS Team
What’s better than one Scarlet: Black Shadow like DPS’s in a team? two. simply two.
Element Neutral Team
Unfortunately, Rei simply does not do amazing damage and provides little damage gains for Asuka: Wille in boss battles (below 20%). Simply slotting a strong Sub-DPS is better.
Since Solo Raid meta cycles a lot via element weakness, it is unsure if this team is top 5 outside of their element.
Strengths
- Comparable damage against Scarlet: Black Shadow, who is the second hardest hitting single target DPS
- Great Sub-DPS
- Self-contained kit, she does not need other Nikkes to serve her role
Weaknesses
- Relies on stable high FPS to deal amazing damage, otherwise DPS can drop severely (Game issue)
- Underwhelming in PvP
- Very strong DPS as a Collab/Limited Nikke (surely we won’t have a third EVA collab cough)
Should you pull?
Absolutely. Her main role is to be a boss killer and she does that very well.
Grab some dupes if you have gems to throw away, as she is a limited Nikke. Both Asuka’s are top priority to pull if the Commander does not have old Asuka. They both slightly different roles
Asuka = Fire buffer/hybrid DPS
Asuka: Wille = Wind DPS

Recommended Cubes
Destruction cube if parts are often present
Bastion if 3x max ammo (800+)
Otherwise use Resilience
Doll Priority
High priority to at least have an SR doll on her. However focus on Helm, and Drake treasure first

I was waiting for this review, and I’m still in doubt whether to get this creature or not
I have a SBS MLB SKILL10, Blanc and Noir are my good wind NIKKE, all the others are in the fridge…
If you are free to play acc like me i guess its worth to try few pulls and then give up if you dont hit, since its limited time recruit unless they do 3rd evangelion collab (pls no) then its not worth it in longer run. Tbh i upgraded nicely first Asuka and barely used her besides like 2 times in solo raid, investment wasnt worth it, with this one its gonna be the same probably.
Assuming I have a single 0 star copy of both Asukas, if I wanted to go for spare bodies which one should I prioritize, fire or wind? I hear that wind might end up seeing more use overall, but fire Asuka has already sees quite a bit of use in S.Interception and on some off element Solo Raids.
