Ade: Agent Bunny Analysis – Should you Pull?

Ade’s maid dress really held her back… in more ways than one.

Overview

  • One of the strongest solo buffers in the game.
  • Buffs non-pierce units better than both Grave and Mari.
  • Since most battles are mid-long range, Ade can easily hit effective range in boss fights.
  • Her most important buff is tied to burst, and max stack s1 ensures permanent s1/s2 buffs in the vast majority of encounters.
  • Better buffer than Blanc for Tetra tower.

Should You Pull?

It’s tough, because while Ade: Agent Bunny will undoubtedly be meta for raid and Tetra Tower content, we also have Resident Evil Collab fast approaching, and anniversary not so far away as well. If you absolutely need a B2 support unit to pull (completely lacking Crown, Grave, Mari or any support duo not named Blanc + Noir), you definitely should pull for Ade: Agent Bunny.

If you have enough B2s built and aren’t seeking top raid scores immediately, you could consider delaying getting Bunny Ade until after her banner is over. The wise thing to do would be to wait and see how good the Resident Evil collab units will actually be before you consider pulling. At the end of the day, Bunny Ade is permanently available eventually.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

Ade: Agent Bunny is a B2 Support Sniper Rifle unit that mainly buffs Attack Damage. Even though she has Pierce Damage buffs, her Attack Damage buff is the biggest buff in her kit by far, and unlike the pierce buffs, this affects every ally.

Let’s do a side-by-side comparison of Ade’s combined buffs to allies vs Grave’s and Mari’s mid burst.

Ade: Agent Bunny

Attack Damage: 55.04%

Pierce Damage: 28.49%

Caster ATK: 15.2% on ‘effective range’ full-charge attack.

Grave

Attack Damage: 48%

Pierce Damage: 40%

Mari

Attack Damage: 40.99%

Pierce Damage: 40.99% on core hit

Caster ATK: 30.78% for 5 sec.

While Mari does have higher potential buffs for allies, her shorter duration on the Caster ATK buff does leave a shorter time window for optimal DPS. Since the majority of bosses are considered middle-to-long range, Ade’s Caster ATK buff is always going to be active vs any boss.

While both Grave and Mari have significantly higher Pierce Damage buffs than Ade, Ade has better Attack Damage buffs than either of them, and Mari’s pierce damage is tied to hitting core, something not all bosses have.

Since the majority of Nikkes don’t deal pierce damage, Ade is a better buffer overall for Nikkes that don’t deal pierce damage, on top of being significantly easier to obtain than either Grave (Pilgrim) or Mari (collab limited).

Basic Information

  • Skill 1: Agent’s Gaze
  • Skill 2: Agent’s Movement
  • Burst: Cutting-Edge Agent Equipment
  • Cooldown: 20s
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Burst: II
  • Weapon: SR
  • Class: Supporter
  • Element: Iron
  • Manufacturer: Tetra
  • Squad: Maid For You
  • Weapon Name: The Agent

Skill 1: Agent’s Gaze

■ Activates when landing Full Charge attacks on targets within the effective range. Affects all allies.

ATK ▲ 15.2% of caster’s ATK for 5 sec.
■ Activates when attacking with Full Charge. Affects self.
Spy Lens: Minimum Effective Range ▲ 4.44% stacks up to 10 time(s) and lasts for 5 sec.

As long as Ade is able to land a fully charged attack at effective range, she will give all allies a caster ATK buff. Attacking with a full charge will also stack up her S1, increasing her minimum effective range, allowing her to more reliably activate her S1 Caster ATK buff.

For non-charge units, it’s easy to see if one is in effective range by seeing their crosshair turn blue. However, this isn’t possible for charge weapons (Rocket Launchers do not have an effective range bonus), as the detailed reticule showing the charge gets in the way for sniper rifles.

As one can see with this handy image, Ade maxing out her S1 stacks results in her dipping into AR effective range territory (Mid-range). With both S1 and burst active, her effective minimum range is so towards the user that Ade will be capable of activating her S1 outside of the closest possible enemies. Rarely do enemies get this close, and no boss currently ever gets this close outside of certain attacks.

While hitting enemies within effective range grants a +30% additive damage bonus (doesn’t stack multiplicatively with other damage modifiers), the most important thing it does for Ade is make her Caster ATK buff and S2 pierce damage buff permanent in virtually every situation. (5s duration vs 1s default charge time and fast burst gen)

Skill 2: Agent’s Movement

■ Activates when landing Full Charge attacks on targets within the effective range. Affets all allies.

Pierce Damage ▲ 18.36% for 5 sec.
■ Activates only if Spy Lens is fully stacked. Affects self.
Gain Pierce continuously.
ATK ▲ 16% continuously.

As long as Ade can hit enemies within effective range, she will also provide them with pierce damage. This only particularly matters for pierce damage dealing allies, though, it does not affect Nikkes without pierce.

With S1 max stacked, Ade will continuously pierce with her default attack, improving her burst gen in normal maps and granting herself a regular attack buff.

Burst: Cutting-Edge Agent Equipment

Cooldown: 20s

■ Affects self.

Minimum Effective Range ▲ 55.56% for 10 sec.
■ Affects all allies.
Attack Damage ▲ 55.04% for 10 sec.
Pierce Damage ▲ 10.13% for 10 sec.

When Ade uses her burst, her effective range combined with max stack S1 allows her to stack/refresh S1 against almost every enemy in the game, allowing her to make her S1 and S2 buffs permanent.

More importantly, it grants the strongest Attack Damage Buff in a single instance for 10 seconds to all allies. It gives Ade one of the strongest buffs for a solo support unit without even considering the Pierce Damage component of the buff.

The Pierce Damage component of her buff stacks additively with her S2 Pierce Damage Buff, so Ade is overall an amazing buffer for any ally, with a bit of preference towards pierce. However, the sheer strength of her generic Attack Damage buff makes her great for any party.

Campaign

Ade is one of the best possible units to use in campaign, especially if you lack the best options for buffing DPS (Crown, Maids, Tia+Naga to a lesser extent). While she lacks utility like a lot of B2 support units, her big attack buffing power helping destroy basic enemies more than makes up for it, as well as burst gen once her s1 is max stacked.

When her s1 is max stacked, while you can spam shoot to generate burst vs enemies and the environment, it’s important to keep in mind that Ade only has permanent pierce when s1 is at max stacks.

With a 5s duration, and 10 total stacks needed to max it, it’s necessary to allow Ade to perform a fully charged attack in effective range once within that 5 second threshold to refresh the buff duration and prevent stack falloff.

Something to note is that for Tetra Tower specifically, Ade will vastly outperform Blanc in the majority of scenarios. While she doesn’t have a great heal like Blanc, Ade buffing allies with more damage is better than Blanc debuffing enemies; Debuffs are inherently worse in regular stages because new waves of enemies can’t receive the debuff without a new cast instance.

Arena

As a Sniper Rifle Nikke with default burst gen and no other way of dealing additional instances of damage, Ade doesn’t perform that great in Arena. While her buff is powerful, she has no utility outside of buffing damage.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Where Ade will shine the most. Since her buff is so generically powerful, and is one of the strongest in the game for a single slot, she can fit into any team that wants the big DPS buff. As Ade has no other utility, she will likely need to be backed up by some form of healing or shielding within the team against bosses that deal incredible, constant damage.

Against bosses that aren’t a threat, though, Ade will easily be one of the most important supports for a top performing team, as her buff power is incredible. Her massive burst buff, combined with the fact that virtually all bosses are mid-long range means her caster ATK buff, while meager, will basically be a permanent DPS boost for everyone.

Even though she buffs pierce damage, similarly to Mari and Grave, the combined buffs that either Grave or Mari give to pierce units specifically make them buff pierce units better than Ade. If you have either of these units and are planning on buffing pierce units, they should be considered before considering Ade on their team.

Strengths

  • One of the strongest buffs in a single slot.
  • Her most powerful buff can work on any team, not just pierce-based teams.
  • Good burst gen once she max stacks s1 and unlocks permanent pierce in normal maps.
  • Due to how long her effective range can become, S1 and S2 buffs are almost always permanent.
  • Wow, she’s so sexy…

Weaknesses

  • No utility outside of buffing DPS.

Doll Priority

As a strong support unit, but with a meager caster ATK buff, Ade isn’t exactly in the highest priority for a collection item. She will definitely see permanent use in raids and if you lack B2 buffers for campaign, and she will be the meta b2 buffer in Tetra Tower for the foreseeable future. Given how often she’ll make an appearance in content for now, I’d say her priority is High.
